If we let China turn the waters inside the First Island Chain as their lake, at the rate China is going, China will restrict other countries from accessing the trade routes.
This will destabilize not just the economies of the participating countries and observer countries in the Balikatan 2024 but the entire World Economy as well.
For the Philippines, that restriction to the First Island Chain waters means millions of Filipinos will die from hunger.
Come to think of it.
We buy our rice from Vietnam and Thailand when the harvest is not so good from the three rice planting seasons
Any cowardly conduct will ensure the extinction of Filipinos.
We are already getting deprived of fish catches from the WPS. Let's not wait for China to deprive us of our rice sources.

This time the Philipines should really focus on its R&D to develop high end weapon systems. While other countries are flexing their arsenal of weapons, we can only hope our allies can aid us in this battle. The Filipinos are hardworking and intelligent people capable of creating amazing things. For the longest time we have been focusing on providing topical solutions to social problems such as ayuda and such other kinds of dole outs. We need leaders who will invest in developing indigenous technologies and championing major programs on scinetific innovations. I sure do hope the day will come when we will earn the respect of our neighor countries due to our high technilogical advancement and capabilities.
