An excellent review again Carlo. That was quite a compact wing you demonstrated the packing with. I found with my Photon ML that I needed the 175l bag. Maybe my packing isn’t so practiced as yours😂 I was amazed when you got it into a 130l bag!
Thanks Brian. 🙂 The wing I show packing with in this video is an AirDesign Rise 5 size M 85-105 kg 25.93m2. Although the Rise 5 also has plastic rods, rather than nitinol, it's less bulky than than the Photon, which is relatively bulky wing, and its rods require a bit less special care, as AirDesign show in their recommended packing. 🤓
The Photon's rods need more care than the Rise 5, and most wings, to avoid deforming them. This is why I prefer to wrap the Photon around the harness, to keep the bends wider. However, if matching a Photon with a Forza 2, which packs relatively long, then wrapping the wing around the harness leads to a relatively long package, This then requires a longer-shaped backpack, which is probably why you chose the over-sized 175L Ozone rucksack (which isn't a great shape for either fitting your gear or carrying, IMO). Some other backpacks are a better shape, which means you can fit the same gear in a smaller backpack (and they are better to carry, IMO).
Thanks the thorough review! Since I have received the upgraded seat, it s much more comfortable. To fold it, ozone recommends to fold in the lower seat sides, fold it back in the harness and attach it to the carabiners in the loop underneath the seat. Have you tried that? What about for the pee tube? The hole they recommend to use in the manual is really not practical, hard to access and tends to get tangled with the speedbar system. I have been using the hole of the speedbar system. I fly it with my Zeno2, overall really comfortable and looks so good 😊!

Hey Carlo. The installation that u did for the g chute. If I didn’t need the cockpit space, could I do that for any cocoon harness? Eg delight 4. I assume yes….?
To be fair, the Impress 4 does fit me pretty perfectly, in size M, whereas with the Forza 2 I'm a bit between sizes, M and L. However, I think the higher comfort is also due to how the Impress 4 back and seat are built, smoother.
I prefer the Forza 2's pockets and easy-access cockpit (which seems to be inspired by the one seen on the Niviuk Arrow and Hawk, and now the Advance Lightness 4 has also). The Forza 2 also seems to be slightly narrower under the bum which, if set up correctly, should mean its got a smaller frontal area, which could mean less drag. Then again, the shape of the Impress 4 is a little cleaner, smoother, so perhaps this cancels this out? 🤓
Thanks for your reply, I’m so torn and both are not cheap. I do think the I4 is leading my battle due to the ability to pack away smaller than the F2. Didn’t like how the handles and zips work them self out as well.
Can anyone tell me why those things blow up on the back end? why have that part at all? is it purely to reduce drag or something? Also, Can anyone tell me what the most basic harness is? This one seems really nice but i assume a bit more expensive and not neccessary if you are new and not cross countrying. Thanks anyone who answers : )
In answer to your second question, the harness we've revied in this video is aimed at more advanced pilots, for cross country (XC) flying, not aimed at beginners or even intermediate pilots. For free advice on choosing the right paragliding harness, see our intro article on this, mostly aimed at beginners and intermediate pilots: flybubble.com/blog/choose-the-right-paragliding-harness
To make it easier for beginners and new pilots to find a suitable paragliding harness, we have a section called First Paragliding Harnesses on our website: flybubble.com/harnesses/first-paragliding-harnesses (if you sort this by price ascending, it will show you the least expensive option first)

Thanks for your thoughts! 🙏🙂 After flying for over 31 years, logging thousands of hours, including in mountainous areas, and testing loads of flying kit, I’ve realized that testing gear in hilly, mountainous, and flat areas is all valuable. Hilly conditions can actually highlight how gear performs because they’re often subtler and you’re closer to others, making differences more noticeable. Mountainous flying tends to be more turbulent so I agree this can be a better test of how gear behaves in turbulence. Interestingly, pilots used to mountains often struggle in flatter areas, while those used to flying in flatter areas usually adapt well to mountains once they get the hang of it. Ultimately, the more diverse your testing conditions, the better your gear evaluation will be! 🪂⛰🌤🤓

Hi Darren. In theory, yes. In practice, it can be a bit Heath Robinson i.e. a bit messy, not so clean and tidy.
Carlo, what's your choice the Advance Impress 4 or Forza 2.
If I was choosing between those two, for me personally, I would choose the Impress 4, mostly due to the comfort. 😊

Hi. In answer to your first question, the rear tail fairing is mainly meant to reduce drag, to improve performance. 🤓
