The real life 300 story.
This was based on true story.
Battle of saragadhi.
Fought between 10,000 pathan Muslims and 21 Sikh soldiers fighting from British army.
British told Sikh regiment to leave the fort, but the 21 Sikh soldiers denied and decided to fight till reinforcements.
21 Sikh soldiers not only stopped advance of pathans but killed about 600-800 Pathan's and wounded about 3000 Pathan's in the process.
This seriously dented spirits of Pathan army and they decided to retrieve.

She don,t like old type movie, action movie but madam ji get afraid of history, and respect that.

EDIT: Also love the woman's response to chal chutiye... the subtitles in the movie translated that as "dream on!", which is, err, not quite right. LOL.

Sureet, putting a sword through someone's stomach is not a big deal. So its not just doable it is how it used to happen. Yeah him lifting the enemy on sword is also doable but not practical. No soldier will do that tactically. It was just to look good

Randeep Hooda would have played this role much better ..he actually did a lot of research on sikkism and worked really hard for his Saragarhi movie but his movie was shelfed and all his hard work was wasted bcoz Akshay's movie was announced. This historical event deserved a much better movie.
But the box office won't earn 150 core if it had randeep hooda compare to akshay kumar, maybe randeep hooda need to work with big actor like salman khan for upcoming movie called radhe, this may benefit him unfortunately in order to save his career

Lol Bollywood wanna put secularismbaazi in it but reality was different. There is no historical fact of them building a mosque but destroying one. The commadar of 36th sikh regiment lieutenant colonel writes in his memoir about destuction of mosque of mullah sayad akber.
Also they said it has nothing to do with religi0n but a battle between 36th regiment and tribesmen. But the turth tells us how mullah of hadda declares jihad(holy war) on them.
