    Lol he puts the smooth flat pan heads facing out and the huge pokey hex nuts facing in to dig into his hip. Bold move cotton.

    How bad do you feel the bolts rubbing on your side?

    I did the same thing. I put the bolts a bit lower and took out some stitches where the leather meets the nylon and sewed in a webbing loop with a slide buckle to make the angle adjustable. There are photos on reddit I copied.

    Has anyone here attached the DB holsters directly to a belt, maybe with rivets?
    As a handyman, I use different ToughBuilt quick remove pouches but almost always want a hammer on my hip.
    I've actually bent a pretty thick steel hammer loop built into a TB pouch just by squatting with the hammer under my butt. Surprised me.

    Could you do this to a nylon bag

    • @lucasjones6157
      @lucasjones6157 8 місяців тому

      you could. questionis how long tillthe hole stretches open and fasteners fall out. .maybe if you used leather patch on each side? like an over sized washer and a big rivet

      It’s because they just bought badger. They didn’t create them

    Great idea, but wrong hardware. Or bad use of hardware available.

    Is that a buckaroo belt? You should talk a little bit my guy. Give some context

    Those bolts have to be digging into his hips. Can’t be comfortable

      Not only that, it will cause wear points as he moves. Tearing at the harnesses. I think there are better ways to secure this.

      I've done this on my set of milwaukee bags and it's not uncomfortable at all, but I didn't use the bolt set up. Instead I used the insert style bolt set that has the sleeved threading. Instead of cutting the material I used the soldering iron to burn the hole through. You don't even feel the fasteners with the right belt set up. I have recently purchased a set of Diamondback bags and love em. I use my other set up for trim projects 👍

      It’s hard to tell from the angle when he put the belt on after the modifications. But I did the same with mine and the hammer sleeve creates a gap between the bolts and your hip so there is no contact.

    • @r.deanmcknight136
      @r.deanmcknight136 Рік тому +2

      @@paularsenault419 yeah you don't even notice the bolts due to that slight gap, even when the hammer isn't in the sleeve. I also did the same for the flat bar sleeve for the left side. Both my setups have these same sleeves

      @@r.deanmcknight136 I’m looking to both sleeves on my Milwaukee belt. Do you have any pics of yours posted anywhere? I’d love to see what you did. I’m thinking grommets so the material won’t wear over time. Thanks!

    Can you provide the hardware you bought for the strap and where you bought it? Also the 2 front screws were the ones that come with the hammer holster?

    • @Mr.E_Works
      @Mr.E_Works  Рік тому +1

      @Anthony Ares, I purchased stainless, 1/2 inch long, 1/4 inch thread, hex drive, button head screws, which are the same style as what comes with the holster. The screws that came with the holster I found to be to short. I also purchased stainless 1/4 inch fender washers and 1/4 inch nylon lock nuts. I purchased at my local Menards hardware store. Hope this answers your questions, thanks for watching.
