People tend to forget how human paul is. He plays phenomenal under pressure and definitely is known for his competitive attitude. Keep it up paul. We know it's not easy.
I couldn’t imagine the pressure! It’s already hard to putt when another group is watching lmao! Then the pressure of doing well for a sponsor and your biggest fans! Insane!! Great job tho Paul!! You and Brodie are the reasons I throw discraft plus discraft has the best looking plastic and stamps!!

Been a fan of yours since getting into the sport during covid. Love watching you play. What I haven't been a fan of is the pettiness that seems to have grown between you & Brodie. You're an amazing player. Making smug comments towards someone who disagrees with your opinion is beneath you.
I didn’t realize how much you do during a tournament weekend on top of just playing. Awesome! I recently got my first Anax. What plastic do think it’s best in?
Hey paul, where do you buy that polo with the leaves and disc golf baskets?!?! I need one for when I’m spectating the worlds tournament next weekend! Much love my man!
Paul, you are my favorite player and you are one of the big reasons that i play disc golf but it is sad to see you play so badly. I know the game and the talent has changed since i started watching you almost 8 years ago. The sport is growing so rapid with lots of new talent on the cards. really hope you turn things around and start racking up those wins again. go get them at worlds and i hope the best for you
Good luck at the worlds Paul! You are one of the best. I wish the newbies would stop using the GOAT phrase, but they don't know any better. I can't blame them, they weren't around in the 1990's to watch Kenny win 9 straight world titles, and eventually 15 world titles. They weren't there to see Dr. Rick win 11 world titles. They only know right now, and all the fan fare.
For sure the GOAT term is overused today in all sports, but so are the people who cling on to old athletes/competitors as the "GOAT, no question". Climo did something very special, but the amount of competition 20-30 years ago was pretty much nothing compared to today. Also , Masters wins in all its glory but they can't really be compared to Open Worlds titles.
@@TheBaxxor And you would know the competition of 20-30 years ago how? I was there, were you? Let's take a recent example. Scott Stokley finished 35th at Des Moines. He is 53 years old. Kenny is 54. He tied Calvin and beat Ricky. Scott finished in the top ten of the worlds in the 1990's except for 1 year. 2 times he was second to Kenny. I hear this BS all the time. You think because the courses are much harder, there are more people that are really good, that somehow the old players wouldn't be as competitive today. How can you possibly know that? You can't, because it isn't possible to know. If you take a young Kenny Climo and put him in competition today - you might be surprised at the outcome. Kenny didn't do something special, he won 12 world open titles! That is far more than special!
@@martingriggs6362 My original point was that yes, the GOAT term is overused and Climo had an amazing run but the two eras are very hard to compare, as with most sports. As is the case in pretty much all sports it's near impossible to compare one athlete or player from 20-30 years back and put them against a current one, since sports themselves evolve, athletes physical shape, science (and yes, competition) evolves. You are obviously biased in favor of older players, and pulling the "newbies/were you even there?!"-card doesn't really work, you know. No need to get all offended here, all I said was that the competition back then doesn't compare to now, which is objectively true. The PDGA took from 1976-2017 to get to 100 000 members, and it doubled from 2017-2021. If I think the much harder courses and much more competitive pro scene would make the older players not as competitive? Of course, they are OLD - that is supposed to happen. Stokely had a good weekend and Calvin/Ricky had really bad ones, so what? I outscored Nikko Locastro on my home course here in Sweden a couple weeks ago, does that make me a touring pro? Paul is the greatest player of the current era, and Climo was the best of his - that simple.
@@TheBaxxor How is it Objectively true? Because you have more people playing? Numbers don't mean squat in relation to competition. If you go back and look at the worlds in the 1990's the field was actually larger than today. You can't prove anything that is objective since there is the time element in it. (If you remember from your science class how to prove something is true) Sounds like you were offended by the newbies comment. I am not offended, I just call BS when I see it. I love the new players, I watch them as much as I can. To say they are better because of that evolution of the sport is nonsense. What makes one player better than another is not just the equipment, or the courses they play, or their physical shape. It's the way they think about playing the game and having the ability to perform what they see in their head. Paul has an excellent mental game, but I think Kenny's was stronger. Not sure I would agree that Paul is the greatest right now, he is one of the best though. I have played this sport for 41 years, and have watched a lot of disc golf. I can see what makes one player better than another. Time has nothing to do with it. My point with Scott is he did what he did at 53 years old. Against men who were half his age. I am 60 now, and let me tell you what Scott did was alot harder than you can possibly understand unless you are over 50.
@@martingriggs6362 Not sure where or why you think I was offended by your newbie comment? I've been the best player in my local club for the past 2 years, have you? You having played disc golf for 40 years does not mean that you are the superior judge of all things disc golf. Don't know if you're trying to be condescending or not but I'm pretty aware of how to prove something is true - I did just give you the fact regarding amount of active PDGA players booming, right? Also, I'd say in the current era there is no question Paul has been the best player. He has by far the most Worlds titles, he has by far the most tour wins and has won or come second at Worlds every year since 2012. I'm writing something and you then respond to something else completely claiming that's what I said. Let me be very clear, go back and read what I've said again. I've been saying that it is very hard to compare the best players of different eras due to factors such as competition level, equipment evolution, courses, athlete levels etc. I'll just end with the exact same thing I said in my last comment: Paul is the greatest player of the current era, and Climo was the best of his - that simple.
