To put into perspective on why the level is extreme demon apart from its length, the last 200 rooms are around top 3 difficulty. I would sadly know as I had quit after 3 hours.

They are ABSOLUTELY not top three difficulty on account of you only have to clear them once
They are VERY hard, but not any harder than anything in tower of infinity or dungeon treasures

@@couchpotato7119 probably harder than dungeon treasures. It took me 5 hours to get to room 1889, but it might be just a skill issue.

As someone who spent over 4 hours beating this level, I’m kind of annoyed that people are voting that this level is an insane demon
Ye same, I spent 3.5 hours on it and some of the ending parts are harder than some sections in storm front (especially 1997)
Yeah, its way harder than dungeon treasures and most parts in TOI and the tower, it should totally be extreme
Im pretty sure its insane due to the level having a checkpoint in every single room. Difficulty should not be impacted by length of level unless theres a lack of checkpoints in between portions of the level. Its really only the last 200 rooms that feel close to or is of extreme difficulty.
As an extreme, i would consider it the easiest one i played.

I guess it comes from personal experience with each one of these levels.
its being rated insane because every single annoying new gen player is trying to get a first extreme and say "JUMP FROM CLUTTERFUNK. NO WAY" when in reality none of them could do a real extreme at their level ever

I just beat How To Platformer just now, I can confirm with you, that was the worst experience I have ever had on an extreme demon (insane demon now at this time but I think it is definitely extreme). Do not waste 4-6 hours of your time playing this level!!
I will try, but since i got to room 250 probably i'll be stuck on 666 and then be stuck on the last 150 rooms

There are levels that are way longer than timiless
Ngl after beating it twice myself (2 hr 47 min unrecorded, 2 hr 20 min on video) I do think this is a level ppl should play if they are skilled enough for extreme demon platformers and have the time. I find it very fun and using literally everything but dual makes it a nice test of all gamemodes. Its also nice that the actual hard parts are only a small fraction of the total level, like 5-10%. With a 150 room break at 1650-1800.

I beat How to platformer the other day. The reason it takes most people up to and even more than 4 hours is because the last 200 rooms are absurdly tough compared to the rest of the level. The jetpack and robot rooms specifically. It's definitely not something anyone should attempt unless they're confident in their platformer skills!

I can see why How to Platformer is an Extreme Demon. Some of those rooms - room 666 and 1831 come to mind, though there were others as well - were *REALLY* tough, requiring some crazy precision. Levels like this are why I hope Robtop adds a "Save & Quit" feature to save your checkpoint in longer platformer levels; I enjoyed it, but playing through that in one sitting was rough.

I beat how to platformer on a weekend, took me all day (5 1/2 hours LOL) but it was actually really enjoyable! As long as you can pass the impossible levels at least...

FPT will be WAY harder than this and even The Abyss + of course way longer.
if u try HTP for the first time and u die a lot u might take longer with this than FPT but HTP can be speedrunned under hour, FPT cannot (FPT might be speedrunned under 2h)

This level is the longest rated yea but its still nothing compared to my level that might take me months to verify (FPT is shortcut)

I had a good run of how to platformer and clicked the practice mode button at stage 1824, so I rebound my lmb to W and the random button on the bottom of my mouse to left click so I'd have to lift my mouse to even try to press the 2mm wide button under my mouse just to left click. thankfully I beat it in only 20 more minutes than my previous run, and it shall be my first and last platformer demon.
we need a "turn on confirm practice mode" option now that we can lose hours of progress with a single misclick

I already beat that platformer.. it took me 4 hours. It was not worth it, and the last 200 levels are such a enormous difficulty spike.. that it isnt even fun at that point. rob should get it back to extreme asap.

I've considered switching between classic and platformer mode myself. Playing main levels but in 'classic' mode is cursed.
It took over a year and a half for Larga Espera to be surpassed, and the one before it (The Long Walk Home) took a year to be surpassed, and then this monster (Eon) which is almost four times longer than Larga Espera, gets passed in only a month. What.?
