Great presentation Phil. Nice job. Have the pre USB version of this (1204FX) & it still rocks after ~10 years of use in home studio and live. In addition to bi-directional USB, this version ads a compressor on the four mic channels and the tap tempo for internal delays -otherwise the same product...well designed from the get go. Incredible product and value. Get one. The Xenyx pre-amps are transparent and amazing. How Behringer fits all this in one box for ~$200 is truly beyond me.
Very good console. And very good products. Keep in that way. PD: Please put the videos with translation text even for those who do not know English . I know people who understand nothing and are left wanting to know more . Greetings and successes. from Argentina.
Just unboxed this mixer and did some testing. We're doing podcasts and everything sounds great. I'm searching for hard-sided travel cases - do you have any suggestions?
Hi! So I've had my X1204 for about a year and a half now, and I absolutely love it. I'm still always learning audio and the lingo used in this video, but I gain a little more knowledge each and every day! 2 things I've always had questions about is how to activate the sound effects. I have a friend and we talk about the mixer all the time, but I was never able to personally activate the effects. (But that's for another day). The main question I have is since I've had it, I've had a problem where when I hook up my X1204 to my Macbook Pro, I tend to hear a ringing sound. I put the cable in the headphone jack and the USB in, it's all good, I turn it on, go into my sound preferences and change the output to headphones and input to the audio codec...and...I hear a ringing noise. There's no way I can seem to get rid of the hearing noise. I thought I had the volume on too low, so I turned it up all the way before I turned my Mixer on, that wasn't it. When I go into Audacity and record something, or when I'm On-Air through my encoder, that's when I really hear it. Something I found that works is turning down my bitrate. But while it diminishes the sound...it also lessens the audio quality. Anyone know what's going on with that? Would love to hear back. Thanks
Hi, I'm newbie here for mixer. How I set the tempo again to the origin default coz I accidentally messed up. The manual book show delay effects default is 120bpm. So the question is when I tap on device which one I need to use? Is 1.2, 1.6, 2.0 or...? Hopefully your help. Thanks
Question: I have connected the mixer to my computer and finally managed to get the audio signals sent to the mixer (apparently the main mix). However, I want to pass on the signal (only from my computer) to a loop machine which then again sends the singal back to the main mix. So is there any way to do that?
That will ultimately depend on the loop machine you are using, but ultimately this would have to be done using the Analog Outputs of your mixer, not the USB cable.
thx for your reply. I am using a Boss rc 505. Indeed, I want to use the analog outputs of my mixer but only the signal coming from my computer. If I use the main audi, my loop machine not only gets the audi from my pc but eventually also its own, which I dont want.
On this X1204USB mixer, are the Aux sends balanced or unbalanced? I want to use a 1/4 to Y dual Male XLR to run both my powered subwoofers and connect to the Aux send. Will that work? Will I use TRS or TS 1/4 plug? Thanks!
As stated in the product manual for the X1204USB Mixer, the AUX Output is a 1/4" UNBALANCED signal. So what you are asking would not be possible. However, most powered subwoofers do have a LINE OUT or THRU Output that will feed signal from one subwoofer to another via XLR or 1/4" TRS cable. If your subs have this feature then you could feed signal to your first subwoofer using the AUX Output of the X1204USB Mixer and then use the LINE OUT or THRU feature to feed the signal to your second subwoofer. Hope this helps!
With the X1204USB Mixer you can control the volume of the signal being sent from your laptop at the mixer, but this will not control the actual volume of your laptop. Hope this answers your question!

I have the standard 1204 mixer and its a great mixer. Gives very crisp & clear recordings! I find it very useful!
Same for me! Playing with a Korg Monologue (among others), sounds really good. Sick part is I got the standard for 40EUR second hand...
Very good console. And very good products. Keep in that way.

Interested in buying this awesome console. My question is: It reads on the label that is a 12-Input mixer but I only see 8.
Excelente produto! incrível como interface!

Have you tried using the ALT 3-4 Outputs to achieve this?
Which speakers do you suggest for X1204Usb?

Yes this should work just fine if you properly configure your PCs audio I/O settings.
