- Blue Force is a game by Police Quest series creator Jim Walls after he left Sierra and had a brief stint at rival developer Tsunami Games. It tells the story of Jake Ryan, a rookie police officer whose parents were murdered when he was a child. Jake joins the same police force as his late father and works alongside his father's old partner to reopen the murder case of his parents, putting the pieces together to avenge their deaths.
In episode 1, we get to know Jake Ryan and respond to our first call, disarming what could've been a bad situation and saving a life, no thanks to our Bruno Kirby like partner.

To clarify, I subsequently learned that Jim Walls didn't found Tsunami but instead joined on as a creator/developer for this one game. And while I'm sharing things I subsequently learned, I believe that unfortune "symbol" is the Tsunami company logo.
Jim walls greatest game was Police Quest II. That game is the 🐐 it should of been longer but I was laughing my head off playing it in middle school. I took it to school an we type draw gun an shoot random people lol. Fun times

I must give them credit for all the digitised actor animations in this game, a lot more than Sierra. BTW, I think the briefing cop Is Ken Allen, who did the music and many other bangin' Sierra tunes.

I played through Police Quest IV and this game looks similar. PQ IV has better graphics though. Looking forward to watch this series!
Apparently, this game released the same year as Police Quest 4. I wonder if either Sierra or Tsunami rushed their game in order to compete with the other. I prefer Blue Force to PQ4, personally, but both games feel rough at times.
They definitely both do in spots and you may be right with them competing to market, might account for some of it.

Yeah not all Sierra was gold. This one is more top heavy, tho, and peaks earlier vs later.
