@@Sharp47 I agree. it is a great display of skill to not use the parry at all in the fight, however, it is a gatekeeping attitude to say those who did it by using it aren't good. parrying requires both timing and understanding of a boss to defeat them, something that a bad player would not be able to accomplish. to beat father Gascoigne in the first place, since he is the first boss, shows an aptitude for the game.
@@prezzo4991 Disagree. You dont get punished for missing a parry like you do in Dark Souls. In fact it is much safer to do so since you can do it from a distance. It's basically low risk and high reward. A bad player could easily kill a boss by just parrying, it'll just be more miss timings and more blood vials to burn through.
@@JoeyCentral i know this is a two year old comment, but that's still a bs take and i completely disagree. Parry does really require timing and understanding of the boss patterns or attacks just like the guy above said, it's not like everyone will immediately know how to parry in bb, they had to learn it. This is coming from someone who sucks at parrying, i have died from time to time when i tried parrying but i suck so i kept missing and getting punished, idk what you're saying that you won't get punished for missing, that'll mostly only happen if you're either very far from the boss (which i don't know why you would be, like why you tryna parry far away) or you're in a fair distance enough to not get reached, but either way you can still get punished when you missed. So yeah, all i'm saying is parrying still requires skill, i don't get why many people even call it "cheesing" when it's literally part of the game, and it's not even a consumable, glitch of some sort, it's literally just a combat mechanism.
Outstanding skill
Daddy Gasoline stood no chance
always more fun to play like this too, rather than spamming parries like a scrub
How is parry a scrub move when uts one of the combat main mechanics? Just how stupid are u?
