  • Here I am comparing the OEM Dewalt 20V 4ah Battery to the Vanon 20V 6ah Battery made for Dewalt tools. I share some specs and pricing on both and share some info on things I have noticed since using the Vanon Battery.

I have the old dewalt 18 volt tools, and the batteries where junk almost right away. I bought 4 vanon batteries and haven't had any problems with them for the 6 years I've had them. I'm very happy with them.

I’ve liked them for old tools. My grandpa left me an old Dewalt 12v and the rip off batteries have been great. Ditto for a craftsman 19.2v impact, battery and charger someone left on the lid at my dump. Works fine and I let the students use them at work for making projects for social studies

Nice post Tony. I bought 2 Shgeen batteries 3 Ah I have a mind set the bigger batteries won't last as long, could be true or not, made in China manufacturer is SZYDZS who ever that is . I looked at it pretty carefully, no cracks or loose parts and so far so good it's not quite a year old, I have DeWalt 1n 1/2 Ah batteries that are getting older, close to 5 years and they work fine

Very nice. Ya I have some aftermarket m12 batteries I got at the same time and they are still doing great

the MAIN issue with the several different grey market counterfeits is the exaggerated Amp Hour rating. I have Dewalt 20v fake 5 Ahr battery and a fake charger. The charger died within months. The Battery did NOT even come close to 5 hrs, AND the case cracked. As hou have DeWalt, the front near the button is this REALLY thin area that DeWalt reinforces but aftermarket fakes do not. I also bought a fake Makita batt also 5 Ahr and fake charger. the charger STILL works yrs later, battery is still fine just not really 5 hrs of course

Yep completely Gree with you. This 6ah is more like Dewalt 4ah. And I recorded this like 6 months ago. The case is even worse now the button barely works bc the plastic cracked all around it.
I do have a couple of m12 batteries from vanon though and they are going strong

Thanks Tony! I’ve been thinking about getting some aftermarket batteries for my DeWalt tools. Reason being the cost of DeWalt batteries. I’m with you about staying with DeWalt batteries. Pay once, cry once, Lol!
Edit: Project Farm did a comparison (2 years ago) with DeWalt Waitley and Vannon. He took the batteries apart & did testing. End result he would stick with the DeWalt batteries.

Lol ya I mean this Battery is still going strong but the case is even worse now lol. I'll stick with my Dewalt batteries.

I bought an extra off brand for a camera, the replacement has long failed, the second is now now good, but the Cannon still hold a good charge. Too bad China doesn't even try. I would be surprised if the replacement is even 4 amp hours.

Haha ya i know right. I still have this one but it's starting to expand the entire front clip popped off. But I also have 2 m12 batteries from vanon and they have actually been very good.

you should really do a video on the toolganizer socket organizer, I have seen videos on everything but the socket organizers from them and am really curious because they are a fair bit cheaper than the toolbox widget

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  2 роки тому +1

I'll look into them. Just not sure I need anymore socket organizers lol. I might have a set of sockets I'll use them for though

@@TonyTheTechnician sounds good, like i said just never seen anything on them but like the design and would like to save a buck while still being able to expand if needed in the future, love your vids btw

First. Keep testing. For the price I would go with china battery, let's see how long it lasts and what is in it when it dies. Look at the markings on the batteries.

      Second 🤣
Ya this video is actually about 6 months old lol. The battery is still going strong but the case is even worse now. Both bolts broke out and the front plastic broke. I have it wrapped in electrical tape to hold it together. Bc it still works lol.

The aftermarket batteries will void the warranty on the tool,Milwaukee is one of them.I met up with a Milwaukee rep and asked them if these voided the warranty and was told yes.If Milwaukee sees burn marks in the battery contact area and records shown an aftermarket battery was used, warranty void

Ya I got 2 of the larger m12 batteries for like 35 or something like that. They have held up much better than this 20v
