My ProConnect arrived yesterday afternoon. I had picked up a pork lion and follwed the steps in this video for my first time smoke of any kind, and the results were delish! Many thanks.
Just used ours for the first time tonight. WOW Chicken and Pork Steak.. Turned out great. Great video felt comfortable following you guys. It did the same to us as it did for you guys. A little early. I had to do the same thing to finish up. I am flooling to see if there is an answer.
I will try and do more research. But I think you are supposed to let it rest inside the grill with thermometer still in the meat. Ours said rest and then started counting up. The problem is we had two pieces of meat. I could see how the temperature could rise that high if it was left inside the warm grill and maybe after a certain amount of time if it wasn’t warm enough it would automatically turn on again. If any one knows please let us know.
We also wonder if we are supposed to let it rest inside the grill which would make the temp go up even more. But we had two different pieces of meat of different sizes so that would not work. We just wish the instruction manual had a little more in it. I think for two pieces of meat we will have to use manual mode. But for one piece we could use the preset.
@@besteverreviews24 i use the Chef iQ Smart Thermometer 4 probe, tells everything, love it, never used the ones that came with the ninja, the iq is very accurate
We just didn’t think it would go from 130 to 145 we really think you are supposed to let it rest inside the grill. It even said rest with a timer on it.

Fantastic!
Your problem is you set to cook by time. You need to cook by temp and increase the times so it doesn’t shut off in the middle of the cook.
We just wish it would do it with the presets on the app

I use wireless thermo's for my meat, tells me when to flip meat and resting, easy app control
Does it tell you to take it off the heat that early. Very curious what other apps are set at.

If you cook to 145 it’s gonna go up to 155 or so

You would have done better if you had reviewed the directions.
That’s one of our biggest complaints with this grill. The instruction manual is only about the size you would get for a toaster oven.
