I have a 2022 Rogue and I'm pretty sure my front grill NISSAN emblem has behind it the radar sensor. A rock has cracked the plastic housing for the NISSAN emblem, no warning light has come on indicating an issue with the radar sensor within, so I'm crossing my fingers that it still functions as it should be adaptive cruise, as well as auto braking. I was wondering if anyone knows if the front plastic piece can be replaced just by itself, without having to pay for the entire assembly behind it, anyone?

I have installed a new bracket and sensor but the computer is not defecting the new sensor. What could be wrong or what to check??

If the radar needs adjusting how can you effectively adjust both vertical and horizontal alignment with only one screw to adjust? Do you just turn and twist the radar bracket left and right and hope for the best? We found that the one screw you can use to adjust the sensor is for vertical alignment purposes only. The type of Pathfinder we were working on was a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder SV 4WD.

Forward Facing Radars like the one used on the 2018 Pathfinder have a wide horizontal field of view and a narrow vertical field of view. For this reason, only a vertical manual adjustment is provided to bring the radar into calibration range. Fine vertical adjustment and horizontal adjustment is provided electronically as part of the calibration procedure.

@@HunterLearningChannel If a vertical alignment is the only possible adjustment to make, is it safe to say that if the horizontal reading is off that either the radar needs replacing, the bracket needs replacing? We looked at the vehicle and there was nothing else that would cause the calibration to be off. The horizontal was off around 2.54 degrees.

@@crowncollisionsolutions7868 Apologies for the delayed response. Repeated calibration failure with a large horizontal result could be a number of things, including the radar and/or mounting bracket as you suggest. It could also be an issue with other things like wheel alignment if using a system that references thrust line like the DAS3000 or Nissan OEM tool, or an issue with structural parts the radar mounts to. Service documentation, attention to details, and patience are key as you continue through the diagnostic phase of this repair.

I have the radar malfunction warning and crash symbol in my gauge cluster. Will I be able to pass yearly state inspection if there are no codes in obd2 but those lights are on?
