THE DOMINO EFFECT part 2 LOSS [FULL Comedy Standup Special - ALI SIDDIQ]

  • Following the success of Ali’s last special THE DOMINO EFFECT (over 10 million views in the first year) comes the sequel “THE DOMINO EFFECT 2: LOSS”. Ali tells the traumatic stories of his adolescence that ultimately lead to him going to prison for 6 years.
The NY Times wrote: “In his eye-opening "The Domino Effect 2: Loss," Ali Siddiq, a revelation of a performer, adopts a different approach. Instead of self-aware jokes, he leans into stories that are easy to get lost in, especially with his jaunty, magnetic delivery. Looking back on his childhood, he describes how he became a drug dealer and lost a girlfriend, a sister and eventually his freedom. He tells the story of his arrest with vivid, suspenseful detail, but also sadness at the cascading devastation of loss. It's the rare comedy about grief that takes the advice, "Show, don't tell."”

Just finished watching with my husband. We are huuuuge Ali fans. Like soo many other ppl, I have seen EVERYTHING of his that's on the internet.
I have been a fan of his comedic genius and masterful storytelling.
      But tonight??
...took me ( and i know soooo many other ppl) on a journey I never knew a COMEDIAN could take me on. He shared his heart and allowed us all to have a small glimpse into his soul.
THEN! Brought us baaaack to laughter without blinking.
Soo excited for his career. NETFLIX and beyond. Blessings to u brother. You inspire many.

Wow! This man the realest person I've ever seen on stage. Opened his soul with wit to touch hearts. Bless this man. Respect all the way from Senegal

Ali is truly amazing. This isn’t a comedy special, it’s a One Man Show. His showing real grief, followed by making people laugh, made this transcend any other medium. The silence of the crowd and the tears in his eyes… I was crying.

the way Ali broke the room down to the point of absolute silence and then weaved it back together with a big laugh was masterful. *Ali is so special.* definitely making the effort to see him when he’s back home in Houston.

This is the most powerful perfomance I've seen from a comedian since Richard Pryor's 1st special. Thank you for this piece of fine art Ali Siddiq, you are the truth 💯.

It's not just the jokes, it's the vivid picture that Ali paints that puts you in that time and place. I'm hoping for several more parts in this series because I could listen to life stories all day!

It's the fact that I can walk away from my screen and play it like an old record recording of Red Fox and clean up and shit. It's timeless talent at story telling

Man Ali this was an amazing performance. I love this type of story telling comedy but gut wrenching real life moments with it also. When a person can have you crying with them and then change direction and you laugh with them during a set, that’s pure talent and a gift. I absolutely can not wait for part 3.

Ali is just dope and serves something better than most laugh dealers, but let's not make Da Vinci out of him :P

Ali, your comedy is brilliant and on another level. The storytelling of your life draws the comedy, the pain, the heartache, the loss, and your growth.
