Im glad to see a real possible alternative to dji in the near future. Looks like they are getting close. Really like the fact they make it all end-user serviceable. Maybe by the end of the year they will have it all sorted
Wow! For non-DJI this has to be the best around. In low light though it's easy to say this beats the O3. Would love to see this vs the O3 direct comparison in evening and night scenes
Looks like the onboard recording could do with a higher data rate, and that youtube's recompression is also having a pronounced influence on the fine detail in the footage.
Thanks for the detailed info about this 4K system. What is the hdmi /FPV monitor you are using at 10:30 in the video. I'm looking for such a monitor. Thanks
Picture is very good. Camera might need mount tweaking in some frames. In specification I see that VTX have 20mm M2 screw layout. That is nice, because will allow to use this VTX in existing frames designed for older Walksnail (except M3) and Vista VTX-es. Don't like open sockets exactly in place where all dirt from props flies :) Seems sockets must be coverd by gluing a tape over them during use. In general look like good set for cinewhoop or something large and not very fast.
But as stated in other videos about night flight, the street lights are the real reason you see because of the filter they have. Unless you buy a 9XX type of ir flashlight, you will never know the Dark dark ability. Size and range are key to the experiment.
One of the important questions is not unanswered in the video Have you connected a 4K camera to old VTX modules or to VTX v2 dual? What resolution will work in this case? Will DVR recording work? Is it necessary to use a DVR board or will everything work without it?
This should work because the CADDX plan to sell the camera and DVR module separately from the new 4k VTX for use with older VTX units. In addition, everyone noticed that the radio signal transmitting part of the 4k VTX is completely consistent with the old VTX circuitry.@@KremerFPV
@@GroveLoveBIG I mentioned it in my video. The camera is connected to the DVR board which in turn is connected to the VTX. That doesn't mean that the new camera is compatible with the VTX on its own. Anyway I will give it a try.
Have you been getting any images reflecting back on your camera while using the ND filters? I keep having an issue with mine, I even bought a new ND16, and same issue there. Just curious if anyone else is having this issue.
@@KremerFPV Maybe the future solo-recording board which Walksnail/Caddx has announced to roll out will not have this limitation and maybe combinable freely with the other cameras of that system (?) ...
How is the penetration and range of this moonlight? The footage quality between O3 and moonlight like 11/12. But people need to know how is the penetration and range? Thanks I'll wait for your next penetration and range review Great comparation bro🎉🎉🎉
Thanks! VTX performance is identical to any test done with the latest dual antenna VTX. I hope that at some point I will be able to post a video testing it out.
Hello, I just bought this model of camera and it is getting extremely hot. It gets up to 90 degrees when it's on the table and shuts down. Does your camera get hot? How can I cool the camera?
Not even close to the O3 Onboard Footage, but I'm very happy to see them heading the right direction. I would like to switch to Walksnail, for the HDMI-IN/Out of the Goggles X, and the nice OSD, but onboard recording needs to be close to GoPro. And this is clearly not.

Wow! The image quality! 😮
Fantastic flying and review, Gal!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks Mario!
I just realized that I fell asleep while watching your video, the choice of music in 15:03 turned out very comfortable 😅😊👍
Haha, I'll take it as a compliment 😀
Hey, will it work with walksnail avatar vrx?
Yes

A very insightful review. Many great points, particularly items to watch out or be careful with. Great flight footage.
Thank you, I appreciate it! I will upload more flight footage after the next firmware update.
Great video. music and flying at the end. What battery and connector to power moonlight kit? Thanks
Thanks for the review, wish you all the best
Thanks, same to you!

I am struggling to get the ribbon cable for the sd card reconnected. What do you mean by securing on the other side of the board?

I might test it out in a darker environment. Thanks for the feedback.

Good point. It should not work at all but I will double check it.

I stand corrected - you can use the new camera with any WS VTX - however you will only be able to record videos at 1080p 60fps without the DVR board.
Will love to know what the naked version weighs.
Thanks - I will see what I can do. The micro SD card slot seems to be well attached to the exterior part though.
Awesome review
Thanks, I appreciate it!
When do you plan an updated video? In the meantime there were so many firmware updates. Did they solve your glitch or other problems?
It’s in the works :-)

by your testing whats the better option choice image conf??
Is tt compatibile with the old version goggles?
Yes - just need to update their firmware.
Amazing video quality!

What is the HDMI monitor you have at 10:30? Can you share the link? Thank you.

omg, the image quality is putting a good fight against DJI O3 system 🤩🤩🤩
Nice try Walksnail.
Curious to see the deep review of the video quality compared to O3 or Runcam Thumb 4k.
i know this is a weird question but could i just add a sdi or hdmi directly to the board?
Nope.
Sir can I fit moonlight in speedybee35 frame plz tell me🙏
Should be ok as far as I know. Might be a bit tight though.
Hi, which screen do you use to connect with tour goggles X ? Thks

Great video Gal.. Looks like you were filming in one of my local neighborhoods. Did you move to Central Ohio Gal...🤣
Haha, not yet 🤣
Hi can I use it in the vtx v2 or v1?
Yes - but you need to connect the DVR board to the VTX and not the camera directly.
Sweet! Thank you for sharing .ox
Thanks for watching!

Would you reccomend soft mounting this new camera?
Yes
@@KremerFPV I've been thinking of upgrading from Analog. This might be my switch. But imma wait til they have a smaller version of the Moonlight
looks much better with the nd filter attached
I might compre both options as I have two Moonlight sets.

Becarefull about 2 wires supply, they are too close to the case and and produce short circuits.
