Great idea to freeze dry as much as you can now in readiness for your intended move...much easier than transferring and moving frozen goods, and, as you say, ideal for your travels in the motorhome.
I would really like to be able to do similar but, as with many food prep/preservation items, the freeze dryer units are so prohibitively expensive here in the UK as opposed to their prices in America where food preservation appears to be more mainstream.
Shocked at the price of freeze driers - 3 to 4 thousand pounds!!
Freeze drying is the way to go. I love my freeze dryer. Do you us mylar bags for longer term storage? I wasn't aware vacuum seal bags would hold up like mylar.
