Simply Brilliant Stephen.
I recently started watching your videos, as I just started painting myself. I’m watching from California , and I enjoy your accent as well. I live with my father in law , and he’s from Belfast, moved out to California in the 70’s, although he doesn’t have much accent left, just certain words when it comes out.. but I love your tutorials and your passion to teach!! Thank you!
Thank you for another wonderful lesson. Such a powerful scene, I can't imagine living near a place like this. Thank you for sharing the beauty and mystery of your part of the world with us and showing us how to capture a bit of it for ourselves. You are a blessing to us, Stephen!
The pleasure is all mine Chris.. im glad you enjoyed it.. thank you my friend..
It might be simple to you, but it’s beautiful I love it, and I don’t get tired of watching you making those videos, because you always make it your own and it’s beautiful, thank you so much and God bless you always.
Thank you Angie.. that is very kind of you to say... i like to keep it nice and relaxed to watch.. no fancy effects...
Thank you very much for the beautiful. Video I was very amazed thanks Very interesting thanks for Sharing please, please stay connected 💖 ... 💗💖..💞.💕..💗 .. ..
How beautiful this is! This will be my weekend painting! I knew nothing about oil paint before I discovered your channel accidentally. All the other tutorials are fancy timelipses that don't help anyone. But your videos are so educative and calm and therapeutic even during this time of high anxiety. Thank you for making some free and for teaching us
Love this seascape! Thank you for all the beautiful videos you provide.
I love this thank you so so much ❤️
ممتاز والتصوير جميل جدا ارجوا الاستمرار

A wonderful first painting of the New Year! Nice and loose to get us ready for more challenges! Thank you, my friend, all that you give to us!!💙💙💙
Hi Stephen once again thanks for your time to produce a great painting. You make painting look so simple, a treat to watch a master at work. No matter how hard I try to paint they never turn out remotely as good and as detailed as yours. Brendan from Wexford
Beautiful colors in a very dramatic sky and ocean! Lots of movement indeed! I like the grasses on the cliffs also. Thank you for such a wonderful tutorial!❤👏
In the United States the east coast is more green because it is warmer. The West Coast the Pacific is blue and colder. I am learning a lot from you tutorials. Thank you Kathy
This is stunning. I love beach scenes like these.
This was beautiful! Thanks for sharing. It was nice seeing Ava with her new cute computer.
Thank you very much Linda...
Happy New Year Stephen. I am looking forward through the year to many more of your enjoyable oil painting tutorial videos. Many times I have been painting away and found myself getting a little confounded with details etc and then I pull out my favourite principle which you espouse "Keep it simple." This is a surprisingly important, easily overlooked principle. When I back off and reduce everything to simplicities the painting moves along quickly and always turns out better. Less is always better when it comes to oil painting!
Very beautiful to start the new year. You make beautiful skys look so easy but they are not. Thank you
Absolutely beautiful Stephen.Thank you do much.
Merci Stephen pour cette série remarquable de vidéos. Rien n'est plus efficace pour s améliorer et peindre de beaux paysages. Isabelle.
Your videos are such an inspiration and so insightful. Thank you and keep doing what you do !

Wow so nice Stephen! happy 2020 to you and akk your family
Good first 2020 painting Stephen.
Another good one Stephen,well done.
Hi Stephen.I can only paint for about 30mins at the most while recovering from heart surgery,,, my question is Stephen, when I come back to paint on same painting of course a few days later,,how do I refresh my painting like I may have stopped doing the cliffs,or sky....can I go over my dislikes ect, what should I do...I am trying to copy your beautiful water & cliffs,it was the first tutorial of the new year with Ava on her computer...Thank you so much, god bless your kind heart & your magnificent hands.
Hello Sir where were you and what about your another channel easy oil painting. I am very happy to see your new channel and I subscribe. Happy new year and God bless you.
Happy New Year Stephen, all the best, its a lovely painting.
Now if you've got too much rain over there... send it to me in Australia, nothing but heat, drought and bushfires around me ATM & I'm happy to help you out lol.
Looking good
Nice start to 2020 very nice seascape Have you tried many palette knife paintings Having fun with that! Would like to see your take on it.
Thanks again for this beautiful tutorial. Quick question sorry if I asked you before but while you painting you deep the brushes in linseed oil or turpentine ?thank you
I started painting when I was 68 I am now 73 on Sunday.
🙋♀️💜👍👏🏿👍
Awesome😍😍😍
I love your relaxed approach! What kind of black do you use ?
Thank you. I use lamp black
Beautiful painting😍 can any black be used? What is the different between lamp black and ivory black
Thank you very much. Lamp black is a little cooler than ivory black. Its really black. Ivory black is a warm black. A slighty browny black when mixed with white....either will be fine for painting...you wont notice the difference very much.
Heyup Stephen , nice work, I see you've painted gulls banking etc ,unlike most people who just put letter v 's in the sky . I've been painting a while and I've realised that your stubby brushes are ideal for clouds ,,do you sell them , or should I look on line ?
Hi Paul...thank you very much... i do sell them. This is my website...
Hey, check out my website, "A world of colour" with this link: stephenconway129.wixsite.com/aworldofcolour
C'est jolie !
bonjour Pourriez vous me dire si c'est de la peinture à l'huile ou acrylique?, c'est très beau bravo
Martine
Great tutorial thanks but can you lock the focus on the camera so it doesn't keep trying to focus on your arm...!!
No problem Andy.. i forgot the auto focus was turned on.. big mistake... my appolgies
Very nice painting as always although I sometimes feel you could be so much more adventurous with your paintings. Understand you like to keep your paintings realistic but I could see so many more colours in the picture. Would love to see you challenge yourself and us much more. As artists we will only improve if we push the boundaries to see what may be achieved. Hope you don't mind my comments.
Hello, my friend! I wanted to thank you for the wonderful comment you gave me on my painting! My thanks to you was accidentally deleted on Facebook..I so appreciate you taking the time to comment...💖💖💖💙💙💙
Why are your cliffs not golden ?
Its my own interpertation and i think it looks more natural... rather than having the gold colour in the cliffs..
