Quick lore note: In the comic, Wick and Mitzi have a secret ongoing flirtation. Rocky is the only other person who knows about it and he doesn't like it because he's very protective of Mitzi. That's why he took such pleasure in destroying Wick's property and got so smug about it.
I think it’s more so that Rock is jealous of Wick and tries to sabotage them, and either way it doesn’t seem like Wick is really all that interested in Mitzi, and Mitzi really only wants his money.
@@sirboomsalot4902 It’s a mix of Rocky having a crush on Mitzi and him having a metric fuckton of serious anxiety and Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria. While the creator has gone on record saying she didn’t intentionally write any of the characters with a particular diagnosis in mind…she still managed to write an almost textbook case of what hyperactive-impulsive ADHD looks like in a world where there is no diagnosis or treatment available when it comes to Rocky. He’s spent half his life constantly bouncing between jobs and never being able to stay in one place for long because no matter how hard he tries, he always keeps making one stupid mistake too many and gets tossed out on his ass. So a huge part of his hostility towards Wick is just his overwhelming fear of losing what feels like that LAST chance he has of actually belonging somewhere. He’s desperately trying to make himself useful enough that Mitzi will keep him around, and sees Wick (particularly the fact that Wick is rich and Mitzi’s got 99 problems…and money would solve 98 of them) as a threat to that. If Mitzi’s got Wick around, what use could she possibly have for Rocky? They hint at some of the RSD side of it in the pilot: when Mitzi’s explaining just how disappointed she is that they only managed to bring back those three bottles, you can tell from Rocky’s expression that he’s really fearing the absolute worse right there. He’s thinking “oh no, not again, it’s over for me, isn’t it?” This is a great example of representation done right, no matter how unintended it might have been. It’s not stereotyped or glossed over or shown as “all sunshine and rainbows.” Tracy Butler did a fine job showing the negative side of it, too, and how it affects people, especially when they have no support or treatment and their symptoms are treated as a moral failing.
I think the way Tracy has described it is more he fears that if Wick does end up providing for lackadaisy the way Mitzi wants him to that he will no longer be needed
I think Rocky wouldn't have put so much effort into his... show if that hadn't been Wick's property. The poor man, now not only deals with the ghost of the duck, but also with one of the most chaotic cats in the city.
ive watched over a dozen people react to this pilot and i think only ONE reactor has seen the Wick Sable pictures at the end. everyone always closes the video out after the post credits scene. its annoying. hell, one reactor even closed it out almost as soon as the credits started.
It took a rewatch for me. It's likely the difference of what you take in as a priority. In that moment, unless you're already familiar with the characters, you don't see the sign, you're looking for the characters in the screen at that moment.
The voice actor for Rocky Rickaby is Michael Kovach a voice actor who has worked on several independent animations as well as being the pilot voice for Angel Dust from _Hazbin Hotel_ by Vivziepop which is going to have a TV series this Summer from A24, so I would highly recommend reacting to the Pilot before watching the show along with _Helluva Boss_ also from VivziePop.
Well folks including James and Nobu have I got news for you, yesterday the _Lackadaisy_ UA-cam channel released a teaser trailer and just announced a Season 1 of _Lackadaisy_ which is currently being funded through their Backerkit campaign. Currently Episodes 1-2 have been funded but if they reached the $1 million they would have all 5 episodes funded.
I'm blown away from just how incredible this turned out. The concept is really interesting, I love the setting and the animation, character designs, sound effects, and voice acting are all incredible. I also love how theatrical and unhinged Rocky is. Fable Siegel and the rest of the team did an amazing job bringing this world from webcomic to webvideo. I hope it's just the first of what's to come.
I hope that the creator of this pilot creates another episode of it in the future it’s really good and a lot of interesting characters and their mysterious past in backyard
I don't know whether its on purpose, or just a side effect of how the character moves/remains still, but it seems only Mordecai (the Tuxedo cat assassin) has the ear and tail flicks independent of larger movement. You really notice his personality coming through in those small quiet moments, where he's trying to be a suave and smooth but his ears and tail give away his annoyance and frustration. Most of the other cats are lively enough that their ears and tails blend in with the rest of how they move, Rocky especially (and when kitty got the zoomies! No, Rocky! Get down from the explosives!)
I love the tiny "catisms", they don't draw extra attention to them but they really sell the whole cat aspect to it. Mordecai's reaction to the water, Calvin's batting away the glass of whisky and Rocky and Calvin "fight" near the beginning. They're small, but add so much personality to the setting.
That and also generally all the small expressions or interactions with other characters or objects, even when the character isn't in focus. It would have been less work not to ad all that. But having characters never just standing completely still makes it all feel more flued and alive
The comic (and animation itself) is well researched and it’s so cool to see an animation that tries to keep things as in period as possible. Even better than something live action even. Good to see you guys react to it!
22:18 FUN FACT: the reason why the made that reaction when drinking the whiskey was because it is Canadian whiskey which back then went bad when being imported because the whiskey wasn’t made to last long

Seeing how this takes place in 1927, it'd be interesting to see this world's version of WWI. Maybe the orange cat (Freckle, I think he's called?) has PTSD from the war.
Freckle's 18. He doesn't have PTSD, neither he took action in ww1, which is obvious cause he literally was 5-6 years old when war started. He's just becomes a little unhinged when he gets a gun in his paws. The only character I can think of who actually fought in ww1 is Viktor. Even though he's originally from Austria-Hungary he moved to the states, and later, sometime during ww1 was sent to France and fought under USA.

ua-cam.com/video/v5ZDGNRDZN4/v-deo.html
They arent getting fired because a) theyre family and b) bo one else would work for the lackadaisy club anyway lmao
If you guys are interested in youtube animation, hazbin hotel and helluva boss are definitely the way to start, as they are the closest to a normal animated show. My personal favorite projects would be dead sound's autodale series, and Liam Vickers' murder drones.
All is well in Autodale.
You should read the comic it's pretty good
In the case of that particular gun, IT'S A DRUM. OR MAGAZINE. CLIPS HAVEN'T BEEN USED IN GUNS FOR A 100 YEARS AT THIS POINT. Everything is now either Mags or Drums.
My bad
@@whitenoisereacts It's all good. I was watching the the whole Sneako Moistcritical.
Welcome, welcome, to the fantastic world of web series!!!! ♧♧♧
the framework showing through the color on the animation is intentional, meant to emulate the photocopy era (or silver era) disney cartoons
Dude, its excatlly would a real show❤
Gonna get 5 episodes and maybe 3 mini episodes and bluray if they reach 2 million. Got 5 episodes coming atm garrenteed.
Which they need to either extend the deadline or put the Blu-rays/DVDs in a more reachable amount. Say $1,500,000,.
@@GipsyDangerfan usually it picks up the last 3 days of most crowding projects.
It is very interesting to see your joint reaction to the films Batman Unlimited: Animal Instincts and Batman Unlimited: Monster Mayhem . These are cool movies 👍👍👍

Movie suggestion that I'm sure you'd love, Men in Black.

Have you seen Helluva Boss and/or the Hazbin Pilot already?

Why does noone watch till the very end wtf??
Please, please, please do Murder Drones.
Please watch rush 2013
One of the most underrated movie
GUYS PLEASE REACT TO EVIL DEAD (2013) that's great horror movie
🎉Cool🎉
No no Viktor is from Slovakia
dose compadre
W film
Hey would you guys react to Flåklypa Grand Prix?
