Yeah. I really thought we'd get an X-Wing/Y-Wing pack. Still, Saw's Renegades looks like it has a bunch of new stuff for the old X-Wing to get them back in the game finally. Especially after they managed to kill off Biggs for good.
The ships are so colorful due to Sabine being such an artistic character. Due to this i keep wondering whether they planned to bring in Thrawn right from the start, as he is the "reads his opponent´s mind in their art" guy. I found that very fascinating in the Thrawn trilogy back then and it makes sense that Dave Filoni had something like that in mind.
It would be redundant, but it would be cool to have a model of the Ghost with the Phantom II docked with it. Give the Ghost that cool dorsal fin design. AP-5 will be a nice support to have in squadrons. Big fan of the Maul crew card in this set!
@@brentphillips9965 what do you mean? Are u asking if the 2nd edition phantom that comes on the ghost is the same size as the 1st edition stand alone phantom? If that's what your asking then yes. They are the same size. I have both of them so I can say that for a fact.
This is a fun little expansion. Tweaks the ghost, adds n one hell of an astromech, 15 point coordinate support/distraction ship plus it has a nice finned look.
So, AP-5 can use its ability to remove a stress from a ship that ship has moved (if it's a higher PS Ship). So You can choose a red maneuver on a stressed ship, and have AP-5 pull the stress off before it activates. That's probably a limited use for it, but would be cool to do in a pinch.
+Justin Williamson He can, but since he has PS1 it'd pretty much need to be another PS1 ship for him to be able to affect it. However, his ability to move and then give a free action/clear stress from your high PS ace is, I think, his main strength.
Maybe I'm missing something. Why does it have to be another PS1? AP-5 moves, performs a coordinate action on a friendly ship, that ship removes its stress and takes an action. Then when the ship that took a free action activates, it can do the red manuver you chose. Am I getting something wrong on that? (all this aside, great analysis on this ship! You've done a great job with all the new wave stuff, and sold me on the bomber).
+Justin Williamson Nope, you didn't miss anything - I misread your post. I thought you were asking if AP-5 could clear stress from a friendly ship that had already moved in that same round - for him to do that, the other ship would need to be either PS1 or 0 to move before him. He can totally clear stress from a ship that hasn't moved, thus allowing it to perform a red maneuver, you got it right.
Picked this up today. I’m thinking of using it to support my Y-Wing and make its ordnance count with co-ordinate. I don’t have many Rebel ships... or ships in general :|
crew: in exchange for damage, you may offer one of your ship's upgrade cards to the attacker. Exchanging other crew members in replace of damage is the most Hondo thing I can think of.
Joshua Van Tassell If you have an original core set then you don't need to buy a new Force Awakens core set. That said, I believe the new tournament rules require the new damage deck, so it depends on how casually you play.
The new core set is not a must have. You can play with any expansions using stuff from the original one. However, the new core set gives you another set of maneouver templates, another range ruler, extra dice so you'll never need a separate dice pack, and an improved damage deck, which is the tournament legal one now. Not to mention the 3 ships with good upgrades. BB-8 is a great astromech on any rebel ship that can take it, for example.
Holy shit that astromech is insane. Would improve Y-Wing mobility to useable levels :). saddens me I don’t get to use classic trilogy ships as much now with the power creep and meta.
Chopper is fun him on a y Wing with TLT bomb loadout the Y wing title extra munitions and a low cost bomb have the Y wing fly towards nearest enemy allowing it to use the TLT and it's primary weapon at the same time. It loses some Shields use chopper to remove the title upgrade to recover a shield this will also allow to fire the TLT in any Direction and because of extra munitions tokens and the title card you can recover Shields up to 7 times if you take the bomb on top of everything else
I really hope so. Ideally, an X-Wing/Y-Wing box with 4 copies of Flight Assist Astromech, Integrated Astromech and new titles for both ships. Rogue One tie-in seems likely for such an expansion since they could draw pilots and Blue Squadron paint scheme from that film.
Maybe so. I think it's still a strong game, though. But man, every wave seems harder and harder to balance. The designers needed Genius to try to make Nym less powerful but then we got Trajectory Simulator and Nym is back on top again!
The Cardboard Dungeon agreed the basic game is still strong, but the ship and special rules have become disjointed. I would leave the models but release a new card set. And don't get me started on Jumpmasters. A real mistake.
Is the sculpt from the expansion pack Phantom II the same size as the Phantom II that comes attached to the Ghost?
Yes, exact same sculpt. Same paint job, but the colors are a little brighter it seems.
Well, your prediction of a rouge one expansion was close. Saw's renegade has an x wing and a u wing
Yeah. I really thought we'd get an X-Wing/Y-Wing pack. Still, Saw's Renegades looks like it has a bunch of new stuff for the old X-Wing to get them back in the game finally. Especially after they managed to kill off Biggs for good.
I have never been replied to. Thanks.

2 years later and u got ur wish
@@dblevins343 Is the Phantom II in that set the same size as the expansion by itself?

The ghost, phantom 2, any ship with a star wars rebels character in it, needs this card...
Plot Armour
Deflects any attack
+The Proctecterate lol
It will cost -1000000000 points
...and you were right about Flight-Assist Astromech..great work. Keep it going!
Thanks!

Think of the agony if you planned that out, only to hit a rock or bump a ship with AP-5...
At 15 pointz ap-5 is a great if you want to squeeze another ship in at low points

So can the ghost ship carry both of these or just one at a time??
Just one at a time. But you can have one docked and the other as part of the squadron normally.
Aww thats too bad. But probably too powerful otherwise. Thank you :)
Looks like Immah be able to make a nice Patt Post at my little blog soon. REVIEW On Star Brother!
Now we just need a Hondo crew card for scum...
I'm surprised that we didn't get a Hondo crew in this expansion.
How is there not yet?? I mean cmon

Can I use these newer ships without having the Force Awakens starter set? I heard that I need one.

Play them for casual fun. ;) Like, they're great in original trilogy ships only games.

Nice... an expansion of an expansion.
please make a scurge bomber video!
+William Bass Okay, okay, I get it :) It's on the list
That flight assist astromech just turned a lot of ships into a potential arc dodger, single inclusion is stingy as hell, we must see it again soon.

*The last Jedi spoiler* I may be wrong but this looks a lot like the ship Finn and Rose take to the planet to look for the hacker.
+Spartan 555 I didn't notice. I'll have to pay closer attention the next time I watch it.
Sadly, you need a stress bot in the Y Wing.
+ThroatSore Not necessarily. I think there's an argument to be made for Flight Assist.
It is cool feeling.
Personally I think its past time for a second edition.
