Of ALL the lion documentaries, safaris drives, videos ect, which is a LOT, I've never, ever, seen males mounting another male. That's super interesting. I'm assuming this is normal behavior and I've just never caught it in anything I've ever watched. Anybody have any input or info on this I'd love to hear about it. Is it normal? What's it all about? That was a lot of mounting happening.

@@rustysilk685 That very well could be. This is the problem with how the "official" types of people report things, if they do, and what they don't do or notice when they should. There has been mention lately of a fight involving the 3 Ntsevu/Kambulas with the cubs--down to 7--and the Ndzengas inside Mala Mala. This supposedly happened in the first week in November, and it seems that both Mala Mala and Lodondolozi realy didn't say anything about this at the time: the big "takeover" by the Ndzengas started after the middle of that month, and they have been going north and south and back and forth since then. AFter the "takeover" started, there was mention of Tinyo being seen alone near the KNP border. If that is true, he might have run, was chased, by the invading Ndzengas who skirmished with the 3 lionesses who didn't want to mate, of course, at the time, and 3 cubs were lost. Tinyo has never been seen alive since, and with the Ndzengas being around when he may have been escorting his girlfriends and acting as father/uncle to the cubs, there is a definite probability that he was injured by the invaders and may not be alive at this point. But, we can't count on "official" people to see what may really be still alive out there, and I wouldn't count on them to be able to find the carcass or bones if Tinyo is no more. Probably if they saw/heard vultures flying overhead but some distance away, they wouldn't bother to find any carcass of Tinyo, or wouldn't try hard enough, depending on the terrain and other things.
