I was at this show and this opener is one of my favorite Phish moments ever. The lightning during "Taste" was INSANE! You really can't beat 97-2000 Phish.
I was at this show but never got the DVD. I did preorder the audio through livephish to get the YEM w/Boyd from Walnut Creek 95 which is one of the best shows IMHO, 6-16-95. I had been to every WC show from 94 thru 98 so when my friend preordered the DVD and got the "Left Nuts" CD which has cuts from WC 94 and 95 I was in heaven. The 32min Runaway Jim from 95 was truly special. We had row C for 94 and when we got there, there was no row A or B and row C was 3 seats for us alone. This was b4 GA pit tix at Amphatheaters. I am writing this on the 23 anniversary of this show and I am glad for the post bc the memories of rain and lightning and the one that hit right after Vultures was as close as I had been to a lightning strike. Great memories.
At 7:00, always cool to see Trey’s hand signals to their monitor engineer, looks like he is calling for “piano down” right before they do their major-to-minor shift and transition into My Soul. Mike explained all the hand signals in one of his rig rundowns a few years ago.
Listening for the first time in 2024 and it’s ABSOLUTE FIRE
That show was amazing. I was throughout the whole thunder and lighting storm. I was 14 years old... Thanks for sharing.
I was bugging during the lighting. I was 20 years old. Miss those days….

I was at this show! Did the first leg of summer tour then took a break for the west cost and finished from Indiana on.

That's a hundred nineteen to you and me 🍄🐟🍄
Gotta love clean-cut Fish, wearing a collared shirt :-D
That's a Zappa inspired solo right there! You can hear it a lot in Trey's playing even in his tone at times.
7/31 best RJ ever
Thanks for sharing man
There we go!
Scruffy Trey is best Trey. He really has the Jerry look going.

Is that... That Trey guy?
Is there a full show of this anywhere
what's up with the phrockless phishman?

But only partially. I remember he eventually put it back on that very same tour.
I need a paul languedoc guitar, a mesa boogie mark 3 and a wooden speaker cabinet!!
Just make sure that cabinet has Celestion vintage 30’s in it 👍
What happened at 1:30?
Lightning. A huge storm went over the venue during the first set.
2nd set!

83'-end of time. I'll never get out of this Maze!
