GENERAL INFORMATION:
This time we are going to be looking at the Ostrogoths playable in both the Last Roman campaign and custom battles. I will first go over their playstyle and mechanics in the campaign, after that we will take a look at their units. The Ostrogothic Kingdom plays differently than the Ostrogoths. THey are both playable as seperate factions in battles and have complletely different unit rosters and traits.

He wasn't really tolerant. He just had a lot more things to worry about and rightly so.
Good to see the elite Ostrogothic pike again. Such a strong unit if used well, will totally smash cavalry factions.

Sadly, these factions having less cavalry will seriously hurt them, as the old impact damage formula seems to still be in place. (Where, if you are moving at all, you will take 80+ casualties on infantry.)
WalrusJones True, however I don't think the Ostrogothic cav could be called bad. the Noble Gothic Lancers and Noble Germanic Horsemen are deadly!
The lack of options rarely hurts a faction in that they lack strong options, but rather, that they have very few options, which results in a higher degree of predictability.
The Ostrogoths have a decent amount of cav imo. 7 melee & shock combined.
Okay old video but... "What is left of justinians roman empire"? You knew at that point in time that the eastern roman empire still had full strength at that point and that the rest of the map just doesnt exist there right?
I know its an old video. I just want to tell you that this DLC is basically unplayable. The Roman Expedition kinda works, other factions don't. The DLC hasn't been playtested. Especially when you play as Ostrogoths you may get quickly into war with the Eastern Roman Empire which just spams stacks after stacks out of nowhere. Playing as the Franks is also almost impossible and depends a lot on luck. It's a disgusting DLC.
Modern day Italy also does not control Corsica...
