A product line from KODAK "Made in Germany" was the Retina. Built from the early 1930s at the Dr. August Nagel Werke/Stuttgart, it became a perennial in the camera market. It was available in numerous variants until the late 1960s. Together with the Retina, KODAK established the 135 film cartridge, which is still the most widely used today.

The "Diamantakis" collection includes about 4,000 exhibits from the fields of photography and cinematography, including many exhibits from the Eumig company. Now it is looking for publicly accessible space for a museum to document in detail the history of photo and film development. Ich habe von mrinem Vater noch eine Retina 1a - von 1952 - mit allem Zubehör und beiden Bereitschaftstaschen.
Funktioniert noch bestens
Es ist wunderbar, dass dieser Fotoaparat das alles überlebt hat.

ich habe noch mal herumgestöbert und etwas zur Retina 1a gefunden:
1950 war der monatliche Durchschnittslohn eines westdeutschen Arbeiterhaushaltes 243,-DM.
Die Retina 1a kostete 1951 die recht stolze Summe von 198,-DM.

das ist eine sehr schöne Kamera.Ich besitze die Retina 2a Typ 016 doch leider ist sie verharzt und kann sie nicht testen.
Muy interesante el video y la historia del antiguo propietario. Tengo una cámara igual pero lleva un objetivo retina xenon 50 - 2.8. Sabría decirme porqué tiene un xenon en vez de una xenar? Cordiales saludos
