  • Video for illustration but it is maggot of Lyctus brunneus (it also makes cracks).

    Is that snappy / crackly sound being emitted by the insect?

      yes, but not the one on the video (its another kind of wood insect)

      @@PidencioLD I do not know exactly, I have impregnated the wood with the anti woodworm insecticide and the sound is over. Maybe it was Anobium Punctatum or Lyctus brunneus

      @@PidencioLD I'm currently having problems with woodworms. I hear that sound in three places in my log cabin. I saw Hylotrupes bajulus running around a few times. Maybe they have similar sounds to other wood pests.
