👍Thanks for this. For indoor treatment what precautions should be taken by the people living in the home once treated? I think I might have this problem, but initially had an expert evaluation figuring it was termites n got treatment ....and I still see new damage spots to my window trim ...I see the same happening still. 😱...🙏🙏🙏
Anytime products are being applied, it is recommend that people not doing treatments be out of the areas being treated until dry, typically 30 minutes to 1 hour is safe to return to.
I have the same issue and there are insects. I also apply pseudo insecticide but the creeky noise is still coming. Have you come to any solution which insecticide should I use. Is Borate chemical a good option?
Borate cannot be used on any live trees or plants. It is intended for use on cut lumber only. Dominion 2L Termiticide would be a great systemic insecticide to use on or around a tree for wood boring beetles. You can buy it here > www.domyown.com/dominion-2l-termiticide-concentrate-p-1223.html
Good Start. I have a black beetle with white stripes across its back. It bores a round hole into the eve structure of the house. Will the Borate based treatment get rid of them?
Bora-Care www.domyown.com/boracare-p-100.html , a borate based product, will treat a variety of wood-boring beetles/insects. However, without proper identification or a picture to identify we cannot guarantee that this product will work. Unfortunately, we cannot identity based off a description, we recommend submitting a photo so we can try to identify this pest for you.. www.domyown.com/how-to-submit-photo-to-dmo-a-753.html

I stood on my carpet and heard a crunch noise 14 months ago ,it was ignored by landlord so I sought advise ,I kept getting little black bottles on my PC windows ,15 months later I have 2 new wood floors ,how do I know they wont come back?
If you are referring to powderpost beetles Boracare is the best option to use on wood for protection against future infestation and treatment of active, Since Powder Post Beetles survive by eating through and digesting wood, one of the best ways to get rid of them is by treating the wood directly. This will kill those insects that ingest the treated wood and while you may still see a small amount activity after the area has been treated, they will will not be back to continue eating through it and eventually die. Boracare will not stain the floors, dries clear and will absorb completely through the wood while lasting the entire life of the wood. The only issue is BoraCare has to be applied to raw, unstained, unvarnished, untreated wood in order to properly absorb into the wood. There are two options to treat wood that has a finish or sealant on it. The easiest and most effective way to treat for Powderpost Beetles in floors is to sand of any finish on the floors till the floor is in its raw state. The apply the 2:1 mixed solution with typically one gallon per 500 sq ft by painting, spraying or rolling the mixed solution on the flooring. Allow floor to completely dry (typically 48 to 72 hours) before applying any stain or sealant back onto the floor. BoraCare Link: www.domyown.com/boracare-p-100.html?rrec=true Label: www.domyown.com/msds/label_sds_boracare.pdf Another alternative to treating a large area of flooring is to use Jecta which is the same active ingredient in BoraCare, just for smaller jobs. Jecta comes in caulking tube and would be applied by drilling holes into the floor directly where the activity is and for 6 inches on either side of the damage.
