Aside from the upbeat music, which is great, we get Angelina’s consistent message of being positive-take that step forward. It’s not just a happiness message that we hear in her recent songs, but it’s more a message of self-empowerment. We hear it in a lot of what she’s had a hand in writing recently: Seventh Heaven, Good in Goodbyes, Diamond, and here again in Our Time. As Angelina tells us in just so many words-she doesn’t do darkness. How refreshing to hear Angelina’s unique vocals with the upbeat music reinforcing the upbeat message.
This Song came first out as a commercial production for SoFi and played at a football stadium in LA and at TV for whole US 🎉
I almost sat through the weekend NFL game at So-Fi to see if I heard it. There was a catchy musical intro into the broadcast by a different female artist.
Angelina and the team around her did it again. This should be on all radio stations everywhere.

‘Not using too many instruments’ … Angelina’s co-writers/producers on Million Miles (and maybe 7th Heaven) said they would make suggestions for layering on more sounds, and Angelina knew and would state very clearly when they were adding too much.
In her live performance at the le Bal des Debutante ball in Paris on Saturday she had string & keyboard accompaniment during the rehearsal, but the violins were silent during the performance.

Again... this retro setting of hers combined with her enchanting vocalizations and updated instrumentalities, what an enchanting musical alchemist this girl is. She ranges perfectly between different genres and just as many emotional areas and in this case, as a refrain also used by the co-authors of the song says, "carefree don't cost a dime. The only limit is the sky... it's our time". Smart, catchy, cheerful and beautifully sung, another great song from Angelina. She is a beautiful, ever-evolving teenager with fantastic energy, incredibly vast musical knowledge, beautiful self-confidence (also thanks to her wonderful family) and unreal talent.💛🧡❤

Sofi Finance Company approached Angelina's management to produce an upbeat background song for a commercial to play during footfall games at Sofi Stadium during TV commercial breaks. Like all Angelina's songs, they're too good for a 30-second commercial spot! Republic Records released it has a single to piggyback on her new EP "Old Enough."

BTW, Made Laca had commented that Our Time was "used for a SoFi (Social Financial Inc.) commercial and their SoFi Stadium (70,000 seats!!) in Inglewood, CA.” So, don't know if they own the rights to it or it was limited use. Otherwise, Republic Records owns the rights. So, if a movie wants to include this song in their soundtrack, they could. Of course, we're all waiting for the day that the Broccoli family commissions Angelina to create a Bond song for one of their upcoming films. She's already shown she could do that when she was 12 and sang her song, Shield, with her band on Skavlan. They even discussed this prior to her performance, which was fascinating. He asked her what happens when she sings on stage. She answered: "When I sing I go to another world. In the world, it’s like, endless. It’s amazing. … Like, full of happiness, and, I love … It’s amazing!" He said she doesn't sound like a 12-year old, to which she replied she doesn't feel like one until she looks at her passport! He posted both clips on his UA-cam channel.

The AJJ(copyright), continues. It struck me last night, the depth of the ocean of musical magic that this beautiful soul has contributed to the world. One performance can scramble a mere mortals brain, but when you contemplate the whole body of work, that this gift to the world, has already produced, one can only be humbled and thank the divine. You should notice the Arab influence or style in many of Angelina’s runs. It’s not a coincidence when considering her grandmother is originally from Iran and Angelina has been to the Middle East often. Her 8 year old video of “Fly Me to the Moon” was filmed along the banks of the Dead Sea… according to the geographers. She wasn’t living in the U.S. at that time, so it wasn’t likely to be the Great Salt Lake, lol. Also, her story about why she performs bare foot deals with a girl she met while in the Middle East. Some of the strongest examples are apparent in her “All I Ask” cover.

You are close with prediction I heard it today on TV in the US it is for SoFi financial commercial and they play it at the LA football stadium that SoFi has naming rights on. I guess it fits a football team also it is Our Time.
She has already done a movie track. She sang Duffys hit song MERCY for a romcom called the HATING GAME. Released in 2022 I believe. It was the opening track for the movie. She also did an EDM song that is very much in keeping with genZ music, written for her by a Norwegian group called TXRD. The song is called HEARTS ABOVE THE WATER. Really shows her diversity in music. There is also a Queen tune done when she was 13. THE SHOW MUST GO ON is a showstopper that is absolutely required listening for all Angels.

She has promised us a Christmas EP and will be performing at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony on December 11th. Of course Angelina performed at the Save the Children event at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony 9 years ago at age 8, singing "What a Wonderful World".

Like an "I'd Rather Go Blind" type original love song, where she puts her voice and power way out front, which she will here and there. She's going to win me over, all over again, a thousand times. This is the song for the SoFi commercial, and is also being played at SoFi Stadium through at least the rest of the football season. There is talk it may be longer and I think that is the most fantastic commercial chance for AJ. She has another song that was played for a commercial for a while when she was 11 or 12, but I don't remember what it was. Didn't feel like this one as this could be a great song on an album and the other wasn't quite like that. If anyone that goes to the stadium is interested on finding out about the singer this could give AJ a huge boost. If not, there is still enough people who will see the commercial and be interested in the vocalist that will boost her listening audience.

So, when he said that you call the rest the "S" and you aren't sure why, my linguist brain went immediately to the Sukoon diacritic. Translated in English as "the still rest" meaning no movement. It is placed above a letter for a full stop. Cool!

@rickjeffcoat348 Arabic uses diacritic notations for short vowels. Most of the time they are absent, but you know they are there officially. The Sukoon is a hard stop, instead of a vowel sound. In music, it is a rest, so it makes sense to me that they would take the linguistic equivalent of a rest their notation for the rest.

Hello again! I really enjoyed this breakdown of the song, Boudy! I love your Angelina reactions so much👍 Now that you have caught up on some of her most recent stuff, you know what ? I think it is about the perfect time to turn the clock almost precisely 2 years back, and react to my all time favorite performance by her. It happened on her live, digital Christmas concert on December 23rd, 2021. For all those not so well versed on everything Angelina as you and I (and a few of her fans😅), she was 15 years old. As a thank you to her fans for all the nice things they have said to her in the comments, she performed her cover of Lauren Daigle's "You Say". A very fitting title, right ? The performance is just so INCREDIBLY beautiful! Hence why it is my favorite by her. And truth be told, I think it is the favorite by most of her fans as well. Intrigued yet ?? I hope so😉 I tried to add the link right here, but it seems my comment gets removed because of it. But you will find it very easily. If I were you I'd do it now, because I think she will be releasing a Christmas EP quite soon. At least she has been teasing about it on her socials.
