P.S. Thanks for being direct and to the point without a lot of fluff!
I agree, but, a 60 degree turn is NOT a 1/4 of a turn, 90 degrees is a 1/4 turn, What the fellow was doing is more like an 1/8 of a turn, which is the max you should turn at a time. Still a Great video!
lol
Absolutely agree 😀🙏
Thanks chap great video
I haven't played guitar in more than a decade, and just now starting to relearn is when I also learn about truss rods. Thanks for the clear and to the point video! Much appreciated!
I have watched a dozen of videos explaining how to adjust the truss rod and I think yours is the most well explained. Thanks a lot.
Hello. Thank you for your kind words. We have a lot of other videos as well. We would sincerely appreciate it if you would like and subscribe to our channel.
The most straight forward and clear explanation of truss rod adjustment ever! Good job!
I appreciate that short and sweet but complete explanation! Cheers!
I have been playing the guitar since 1987. This is the first time I felt confident to adjust the truss rod...the tutorial is so easy to follow, and the action got so much better! I had been having a tough time playing barre chords on my steel-string Takamine, now they are a piece of cake...Thank you so much for this!
Hi sir, I've only been playing for like 6 years and barre chords for me is still a headache, I almost couldn't do it, I'm still trying to have the guts to adjust my truss rod too, nice to hear that you got good results, hope it does the same with me since I have to do it myself
Mess around and find out!
Make notes and even video it, in case you need to roll back the changes.
Thank you so much for helping me to find the solution to this particular problem which adjusting the action on the guitar is, your instructions were so precise and straight to the point, a real game changer to me for playing , amazing job.
Thanks! I was a lil timid about adjusting my (new to me) Martin GPC12PA4, but thanks to your video, she is now set perfect!
Now on to my Gibson Ron Wood SJ200

Good job, many about this adjustment are way longer than necessary and then show very little about doing it and checking the results. To the point, thanks.

Best seen so far... Thank you
Well done...Well explained.
Great Video Thanks for making it
Thanks man my buzz is sorted mate. Big thanks.
Thank you!!
Thanks for posting this, I was always nervous about tweaking the truss rod, but have followed your instructions and made my Fender Paramount a lot more playable, by lowering the action. Not as difficult as I thought it would be.
The good thing about adjusting the truss rod is you can undo anything you did. Just don’t strip the screw or force it and break it. It’s pretty hard to break it. If you have some experience as a mechanic, you’ll know when it’s too much force.
Thanks!
Much appreciated !
Thank you!
Awesome thank you
Your a Legend Brother, thanks for this info, it's priceless, your a Rockstar 🍻
Thanks. I’ll try this on my guitar. Hopefully it will work
I watched this video and adjusted my guitar truss rod, it's amazing how much my guitar is off, now it's so much easier to play!
Thank you! Adjusted mine and it’s easier to play.
Great explanation of the mysterious truss rod.
Great video
Thank you very much, was so scared I'd damage the neck on my guitar but after this very informative video it was no stress at all!! You've earned another subscriber, keep it coming
Should I take the risk to adjust it by myself

Thankyou for your tutorial from🇵🇭
No worries!
great video
Great vídeo. I like my acoustic with 0.3/0.4 mm in the 12th fret. This way plays nice and there's no fret buzz. Of course,If you play hard,It Will buzz, but for me Works great!!
Thanks for the info. Been playing my 12 string Ibanez for 20 y+ without actually checking the neck.
Thanks for the quickie!
I’m working on reducing my bloody fingers on certain songs.
Thanks mate. Quite simple. I assumed this was the correct methodology for a acoustic but I waned to double check on You Tub first. After adjusting the above you might wont to check your intonation next.
Well done ol' boy!
very nice video
Thank you
THANK YOU! My guitar was buzzing just a little when I strum hard and this showed me how to fix it! 😀
Great to hear that we were able to help you. Cheers!

Helped me a lot, guutar is playable now
Good day!
When adjusting the truss rod, for how long should I have restrung my guitar? Would a set-up be best for newly-changed strings? Thank you so much for this video. It's such a huge help.
Hey man! Great video! Greetings from Singapore! What is the best string height for the 1st and 12th fret on an acoustic?
Hi, very nice :-) greetings, Mike
Exelente
I would have dropped the wrench into the sound hole a few times, at the very least. In the process of retrieving it, it would have surely poked me in the eye!
Thanks for the excellent tutorial. My truss-rod is fine, judging by your guide however, after tuning the guitar, there are places on the 2nd and 3rd strings from the 1st to 3rd frets where the tuning is out. Why might that be the case please? Thanks in anticipation. Kind regards. AL.
One point i was always taught you want to finish your adjustment clockwise, kind of like when you tune strings you want to over loosen and then finish by tightening.
Thanks for the tips. The acoustic I have definitely has a bow to the neck. Is it always tighter that you want to adjust or how do you know which direction the rod needs to go?
Awesome video mate!, no mucking about, just get to the job...cheers, sub'd
My Yamaha tightens counterclockwise. Strings should be tight while doing it. I loosen my two middle strings and pull them away from center so as to not harm the strings with the allen wrench. If you get the neck straight and there's still a lot of space under the strings, you may need to take off the saddle - the white plastic strip in front of the string pegs - and sand or file it to make it more narrow.
I’ve been complaining about my guitar because there’s a huge space between the strings and the neck… I didn’t even know you could do this!
I have ultra light strings and the gap between the pressed string and the bottom of the neck is around 1mm, should I tighten the truss rod a bit? Isn't it better to keep the gap bigger because of the ultra light strings? I notice some buzzing when I play in the higher frets on 5th an 6th string... Thanks in advance
Will adjusting the truss rod affect the intonation of the strings? (Open/12 fret tones?)
Could you please tell me what is the Dia for that truss rod for Merida Guitar?
What size Allan Wrench do we use?
Checking should be done with holding the string to the fret at the body joint(14th in this case) not at the last fret
I have a martin GCPA1. do you know hwat size is the Alan key?
Can you really trust your Trust Rod? UGH!
GOOD VIDEO... NICELY DONE! THANKS.
It would have helped to know what tool you were using. If it's a special tool where can I get one. Otherwise your tutorial was very good.
What size wrech did you use? I can't seem to get mine to fit on my used yamaha f310p. Is it possible that the truss rod may be broken?
Its possible but very rare, maybe you just have the wrong size allen key, they are usually 4mm
What is the size of the allen key that you used
You didn't mention that you were using the 12th fret when measuring the height above it of the 6th and 1st strings to check the action.
my neck is in perfect curved, but the string still high fron the neck. any advice?
i got my first fender acoustic guitar same as this on the video..
Hello guitar friends can you please help me out?
I am abouth to buy a guitar. (740 euro) i have seen two versions of it. One with the truss rod acces in the neck and one in the soundhole. Which one is better?
