Raising all those kids who weren't hers, staying behind in Jamaica after getting shot while Bob went to London & got with Cindy Breakspeare... She's the real unspoken hero in this story. Bob's music was his legacy but Rita was the backbone.
Rita's biography also states she had a child out of an affair while married to Bob - so they both took on each other's children in and outside the marriage and raised them ...

He knew Rita would protect his legacy and do right by the children. He knew he had a good woman. He could've done better by her, but he knew what he had. Now.......on the flip side, I do think Rita would've divorced him if he lived longer and continued being a rolling stone. There's only so much a woman can take. All Rita wanted was Bob, not his persona. I believe she would've walked away if he lived.
Every time I see an interview with Ziggy I'm always blown away by how humble this man is. I really wish that someone would do an interview with Ziggy that understood a bit more about what makes him the person he is. George is better than most at his craft but as you can tell by where they edit this piece that it could be better. Ziggy is a very intelligent and great musician and every interview is interesting.

From what I've observed with the Marley family when being interviewed, especially as it relates Reggae Music and the Movement that led to such a Revolutionary Uplifting Music,is that they always fail to mention Peter Tosh and or elaborate on him when even asked. Peter Tosh was the Pioneer and Musical Leader among the group. Never should Bob Marley be mentioned without Peter Tosh!!!

I dont think so... he's asking questions and allowing ziggy his time to talk he's not taking over and being dominant he's allowing zigggy to share his stories freely. He might seem a Lil ignorant with his questions like he truly isn't very sure of what to ask, he's unfamiliar with the culture, he doesn't want to come off as inappropriate. But it's better to be ignorant and ask genuinely curious questions than to come off as arrogant believing that you know stuff that you actually don't. This was a simply simple and cool interview. Funny and light...

I always liked Zizzy Marley from a child when I first really learned of him, when he and.His brother also sister named the group the melody Makers,as a little youth.But I guess he does not know much about the weed as such ,or the ganja. I been smoking weed or ganja before Zizzy Marley was born.I started to smoking weed from I was in school, because my people them useto cultivated ganja before I was born,so I come see them using it.Ganja can cure any sickness,if you know what kind of other bushes to boiled with it to make tea.I not saying that he may not know certain things about ganja , because he grew up seeing certain things as a youth, plus he read a lot.To gain knowledge about how the plants worked,plus his father denomination they used ganja as their religious sacrifice.So he has fairly amount of knowledge how it used, and what it is for.I don't know if he smokes it or not, also if he used it in any other form of ways.But Zizzy Marley is a nice guy,I never learning of him getting into any trouble with the lawmen.I heard him was talking about Peter Toosh,I knew him from in the 1965/66 but he has no manners to nobody at all.He always got himself into trouble with the police from time to time, because he is a very disrespectful guy. He was very quick to get into fight, even when the time he got into that fight with the police officer.I remembered that fight in 1977 when the officer tries to greets him,he swears at the police by telling him a lots of indecent. languages.

Wasn't Cindy in Jamaica? He met her there and started seeing her there...not Europe. I think another one of his sons are from England though.
