Pickled vegetables. Unlike western pickles, Chinese pickles tend to be only salty, maybe a little bit sugar, and not sour. There are a few vinegar based pickles, but we we call it "sour vegetables" which is a different term than what it says on the pouch.

That's do not look like a normal MRE or ration, I think that things are emergency rations, like "abandon ship" or "last resource survival ration", they are the minimum to keep a person alive 24H, the key are the "biscuit" thingy they are high density calories+low water need for digestion, the beef and vegetables are "just" a moral raiser and in a real survival situation probably only should be eaten if the drink can be prepared. (note: my words do not have any value, I know almost nothing about this things)
