    “I, have, enough and tackle” words that Jim will absolutely never say together.

    Bomber model A cranks from the square bill all the way up to the 6A are killer finesse type cranks. I’m sure the bigger ones are great, but they’re not as finessey. Heck same with the bandits and Normans. If you can find them all at the right price, they have unbelievable value.

    Those cranks look good. I have to pick up some. I like Frank's top water! Great painting!

    TJ, got an unrelated question.
    I’m buying a new Chatterbait/Lipless reel in January & I’m having a problem choosing between 2 that are closely matched. The Shimano MGL 150 or the Daiwa Tatula 100 SV (the new one with the SV Boost spool). Specs are so evenly matched (on paper) I though I’d ask to see if you or another fishing buddy here might have experience with one or both reels.
    Thanks a million & keep on fishing

    • @TackleJunky81
      @TackleJunky81  2 місяці тому +1

      The MGL is sweet, but the Tat is more compact, and I prefer the Daiwa braking system. Both solid reels, and I'm sure you'd like them both, but I'd go with the Tat!

    Hey now ponds get pressured as well. Think about it this way there are spots on any given lake that ONLY a person with a water craft can get to but any jackball with a rod can fish your neighborhood retention pond.

    • @TackleJunky81
      @TackleJunky81  2 місяці тому +1

      Good point. The ponds I fish are family owned, but there are plenty of people sneaking in there unfortunately!

    If I could offer a suggestion, I'd say maybe try recording raw and uncut on those fishing trips to the big lakes. Been seeing a lot of channels start doing that and the super long videos seem to get good views on their channels. Just stick a GoPro somewhere and start recording and don't worry about the best angles or commentary or any of that stuff, and if it ends up being a crappy day then you didn't waste a lot of effort commentating or trying to make a super detailed vid. I enjoy pulling up vids like that when I'm trying to fall asleep and just chilling out watching some fishing. I'll definitely watch those videos as well if you decide to try it!

    It would be cool to see a fishing video once a month depending on how often you get out. The unboxings are sweet too. "I got 9 of these on this order". Yikes. I think I have 9 total. lol. 👊

    Other than black and white do you really feel colors are important for the spook. I always felt top water strikes are reflex hits and the fish don’t really get a good look at the color.

    • @TackleJunky81
      @TackleJunky81  2 місяці тому

      Those are definitely the main 2 and the ones I'll start with. If I see they aren't really eating it, I'll experiment with more colors.

    It's pretty easy to not worry with recording. Just turn on camera and fish. Say what you're thinking on when you're concentrated on fish. Like you think to yourself man that was a good cast, oh I gotta bite. Instead of just thinking it start making it a habit to say it. Buy beware you'll start doing it all the time and you'll look like you're talking to yourself when not fishing 😂.
