WHAT?! No way is this real. The only time anything like this happened in my school was in biology. I don’t remember the topic but it was about health conditions that come through eating habits (like coronary heart disease, diabetes or bulimia) and what not and our teacher did an optional practical where we would find out our bmi. It wasn’t about seeing how to be skinny but more of how the system works and what is considered obese or under weight. It was less shaming, more scientific and understanding these diseases and the actual bmi chart which is normal to examine a chart or graph in a science lesson

I used this app a few years ago when I was trying to lose weight and was always trying to eat less than the recommended calorie intake the app said I should eat thinking I will lose weight faster and ended up measuring and exercising in excess. And my weight wasn't and still isn't bad, I was always healthy for my height, still am, but the app got to me. Glad I finally stopped in time cause I just know it would've ended up really bad if I continued using the app 😕.

some people can have fast metabolisms but not as fast to the point where they can burn 3000 cal and still maintain their weight. Usually those "naturally skinny" people don't eat as much and get full easily. That's why even if they are like "oh I can't gain weight" is prob bc they don't know how little they eat since they get full easily and usually don't want to finish the whole meal.

@@mish_elle1450 no, most people listen to cravings and tend to overeat. Listening to your body on when it's hungry but also when it's full is the best way to maintain a healthy weight.
