Buying food that isn't pricey or isn't branded, doesn't mean it has to come out of a can or look like this. You can make fresh delicious food on a budget, it's all about being creative. Turns out they're made in the same factory, but different packaging, so the branded ones can be sold for more. Same thing with jam tarts; my dad was fixing a machine in the Kipling factory, and saw one machine with Kipling boxes and another with Sainsburys Basics boxes! Same product, but the branded one can sell for more because people trust it. It's insane! always go cheaper, cause 9/10 times it's gonna be the exact same product or of the same quality.

I lived in the UK as a student for 5 years and I got used to all those cheaper food options (as well as the reduced section)...sad thing is, now that I'm back in Luxembourg, shopping for food has been so expensive.
