At 7:20 it's said the .224 Valk stays supersonic out beyond 12,500 yards. Whew?! I'm gonna buy that cause who doesn't want a round which stays supersonic out to 10 miles!!!
The 6.5 Creedmoor fits perfect in an AR10 mag with a 140 eld. If you load magazine length the bullet is above the donut which will help keep velocities tighter and long range groups better. The velocity given for the 6.5-284 were pretty lame. With 140gr bullets mine shot good using 4831sc at a velocity of 2970. Using Reloder22 it shot good around 3080 with 140s. My AR10s in 6.5 Creedmoor shoot at 2977 fps.
The shape of the cartridge tells all! The short fat cartridge like the best cartridge ever made is the best design. More complete powder burn makes accuracy, it’s been proven. Hence this design. The cartridge that should have been on the list is the WSSM223. Faster than the 220 Swift and more accurate than any other cartridge.
@larryraffburn-eg8wg Your statement that the 223WSSM is the " more accurate than any other cartridge" is utter bogwater. Your either are an idiot or twisted enough to believe your own bullshit.
@larryraffburn-eg8wg Your statement of more accurate than any other cartridge says all I need to know about your firearm knowledge. Ever heard of f class or ELR? There is a reason the BR crowd generally runs 6mm and F Class is pretty much 7mm and 30 cal.
Long range shooting, most of these new shooters shouldn't be shooting over 200 yards, 150 yards or less would be more realistic. You need to shoot the long distances a lot before you are good enough to do it. I shot 500+ yards when I was younger, now it isn't over 150 yards and probably less.
Basically the same ballistically as 6.5 cm but more recoil and much higher velocity. It's "better" for precision but less forgiving to a less experienced shooter
After taking 69 Mulies and 38 Whitetails in Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona, as well as some 2-deer areas in Idaho before misguided environmentalists were allowed by even more misguided federal judges to force Idaho to become home of the Southern Canadian Wolf, forcing the decline of the deer population. This, along with 38 Rocky Mtn. Elk, until I happened across an upset sow grizzly bear that wanted to take my hide home to keep her cubs warm on cold winter nights. She came very close and the next time I went elk hunting, I packed a new .338 Winchester Magnum.
Yes Sir...same issue with woofs. I had elk and moose in the yard North of Sandpoint for years and even a few of the Canadian caribou way back. Mule and white tail were balanced by big cats, a few hunters and hard Winters and black bear took a few too. The intelligence factor drops rapidly the closer you get to DC...just look at the mess we are in now. I once thought it was only the right side of the isle...not so sure anymore.
I shoot nothing but 223 but do agree the Valkyrie has the potential to replace the 5.56 but why ? The 5.56 has the extra powder for more speed and also for heavy bullets if you want (up to 100grs.) and a massive availability for parts. Don't see why military would change from 5,56 , cost is to much. After people see the costs involved for Valkyrie it will just fade away like the .222

@chadperry4021 28 nosler is a barrel burner! 7mag with a faster twist will push heavier bullets at acceptable velocities saving barrel life. Changing a barrel is not tough to do these days!
The fact of matter is that the calibers and rifles that have already been created have adequate ballistics to do the job. The real factor is what scope is used and how it's used.

At 7:20 it's said the .224 Valk stays supersonic out beyond 12,500 yards. Whew?! I'm gonna buy that cause who doesn't want a round which stays supersonic out to 10 miles!!!
someone added too many zero's
I still love my old tried and true Garand.
No 300 win mag?
Have mine, she’s a thumper and I’ll stick with!
That is a dangerous load. Or your just full of it.
All short action cartridges fit in an ar
@@unfrsaken_soul226 that maybe true but they don't all fit just right like the 6.5 Creedmoor.
@unfrsaken_soul226 well kinda. 308,243,6.5creed,7mm/08 are short action that fit in an AR10 not an AR15.
@@unfrsaken_soul226 Not true at all. You're just as bad as the channel creator.
The shape of the cartridge tells all!
The short fat cartridge like the best cartridge ever made is the best design. More complete powder burn
makes accuracy, it’s been proven. Hence this design.
The cartridge that should have been on the list is the WSSM223. Faster than the 220 Swift and more accurate than any other cartridge.
Another one full of it.
@@albertlemont5471
You apparently don’t know much about rifles or rifle
Cartridges, it shows.
@larryraffburn-eg8wg Your statement that the 223WSSM is the " more accurate than any other cartridge" is utter bogwater. Your either are an idiot or twisted enough to believe your own bullshit.
@@albertlemont5471
You!
What about the 6.5 PRC.
Basically the same ballistically as 6.5 cm but more recoil and much higher velocity. It's "better" for precision but less forgiving to a less experienced shooter
About 150 to 250 fps faster. A much better round imo. I have both. Deer don't care what the name is in practical hunting range.
The Canadian JTF2 uses the McMillan and We hold the record for the longest distance recorded for the longest combat shot 🇨🇦
After people see the costs involved for Valkyrie it will just fade away like the .222
Spend that money on equipment that can't replace my .270, 30/30 or 7mm mag. money racket...
Enough allReady guys . All these new calibers work extremely well if the person holding the rifle knows How to shoot. Gee cant wait til someone necks down a 50 bmg to fire a phonograph needle at10000 fpm. 😊 cmon pick your favorite make it work . The secret is good glass and a good load. I have a rem 700 long range 26 in. Barrel 300 win mag with a trijicon 5x50 and only use barnes 220 gr boattail open tipmatch ammo. Works well out to 1760 yards. Sometimes. Im 79 😮 practice a lot my friends. Have fun.
The 26 Nosler and 28 Nosler along with the 7 RUM and 300 RUM should be on this list.
les nouveaux qualibres que se soit prc ou 6,5 creedmoor sont un déguisement pour faire revenir une forme de wsm et ainsi vendre de nouvelles armes meme ceux si subisse des ameliorations
I want a 6.8 Western
I want some of those 12500 yard bullets.
Yup - I heard that too and chuckled...
@@laughton57I want one too
I,ii stay with my .243 cal. and..270 cal. Thank you!
7 prc should’ve been on the list. Getting to fire bullets with a bc of .796 around 2900 fps in a standard length action is impressive.
😂7mm rem mag & 7mm Weatherby mag both beat 7mm prc
@@poorfatman5317 Do you always use the laughing emoji when your wrong?
Rebarrel a 7mag with a faster twist barrel and the 7prc is a chump!
@@MrLucky426 Yes let’s spend money on a custom barrel, then spend more money having a gunsmith install the barrel. Now we have a bolt action single shot that beats something else by 50 fps yet still loosing to the 28 nosler.
@chadperry4021 28 nosler is a barrel burner! 7mag with a faster twist will push heavier bullets at acceptable velocities saving barrel life. Changing a barrel is not tough to do these days!
I'll stay with my 300 win mag and 7 mag
Same here !!! Good choice if you can handle the 300 win mag everything else will seem like toys!!!
What about the 7mm Remington Magnum. Tell me that Round is not a excellent long range Round...
6.5-06 was not mentioned at all or the 25-06 that is the most accurate of all 06 cartridges
Another one full of it.
How does the .25-284 compare to the 6.5-284?
Probably not as many high BC bullets available.
Not many long range heavy bullets in 25 cal. If they made 140grn you would have something.
Your not a pro. You forgot about the .300win mag, the .338 lapua, the 375 and 416 chytach. This was about the best long range calibers right.
Keeping my 6.5 prc for 1000yard kills
308
7PRC should be on there
We can talk about the best caliber till the donkeys get wings....any caliber in the right hands is the best caliber....!!!
Bwhahaha 😂😂😂, I have zero issue's finding ammo for the 6arc. Its amazing!
99% of the people most likely hunt under 200 yards.
Only rifle in that list that's worth it's powder is 6.5x284 ...
How about the 6mm Max!!
Goddamn valkiry stays super sonic to 12,050 yards?!
@@chrisfisher3900 I guess we were all fools for passing it up in 2017-18.😂
375 Cheytac, 416 Barrett... and a SLEW of other cartridges are better than anything on this video.
this is out dated info. go with either 6.5 prc, 7mm prc, or 7mm wsm or 6mm creedmoor instead of 6.5mm creedmoor. or 6mm arc in AR 15
Valkyrie is terrific, too bad it ran into the Hornady marketing machine. Shooters beware, don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
Me to
375CT for me, thx.
7 PRC all you need.
22 arc shoots very well out to 1050 anyway
I love my rubber band gun, hopefully Cackle Crotch will let me keep it.😅
3006ai..any day any critter.
300 WIN MAG 338 LAPUE MAG
What about 300 weatherby…
7mm prc
The fact of matter is that the calibers and rifles that have already been created have adequate ballistics to do the job. The real factor is what scope is used and how it's used.
7mm rem mag has been getting me 1000 yard elk kills for 30 years. I dont need another rifle.
and not a single one of them do anything a cartridge that has been around for decades wont do
6.8 Western 💪👍
Don't you mean the 224 is good to 1250 yards not 1200.50
7mm PRC is the best long range cartridge
Why?
6.5x55 is just as good
Like my 25-06
I want to know more about the army new 277 fury, and there new battle rifle .
I wonder about reloading that Three Piece Case.
A lot of marketing hype . Everyone of us old timer have so many 06's ,270's, and 243's the gun companys needed to sell more guns to these young whipper snapers. What a better way to sell more guns than tell them they can have a better mouse trap. Well my opinion is the " proof is in the killen". Us old timers have killed so much with the 06's 270's 243's its hard to argue with.
270 WSM - SAKO
Bs 6mm arc 12500yds😂
6.5 cm any day
Lol...uh, Cheytac???
