In fact, the most incredible thing is his story, he started training very late because before he was a fighter he was an alcoholic, in all his fights he was always the least experienced, for example, in Poatan's first kickboxing fight against Adesanya, Adesanya he has had almost 100 fights while Poatan hasn't even had 20 fights hahaha I have some Brazilian friends and they showed me some podcasts where he told his story in full, everything he did is very spectacular, being Brazilian kickboxing champion despite his addiction, being the only simultaneous champion of glory, and beating several kickboxing and MMA athletes with much less time in the modalities.
Pereira started training exclusively for MMA less than 2 years ago, before that he had only had a few fights while he was at Glory, including his last fight at Glory was a few months before his UFC debut against Vakhitov, one of the most complete Strikers of the last decade, I honestly think even better than Pereira and Adesanya
If I’m fighting Poatan and he comes out, does the bow and arrow and that battle cry I’m either not exiting the locker room or I’m exiting that cage ASAP
Quite possibly the coolest walkout ever
I agree, Hands down the most badass as well.
correct , slow walking means he doesn't give a F , poker face like always ,no weird things or cringe moves
This is crazzyyy
Dude's been the best addition to the roster in years
Him and micheal chandler for me
ALEX IS BATERR
Khamzat ? Shavkat ? Bo ? Aliskerov ?
@@AcknowledgeB No, no, no, and definitely no.
@@AcknowledgeB None of them have been champ, whereas Alex is about to have his third title fight.
Alex is the greatest combat sports athlete ever

Not when jon jones is alive!!!
The pop he got in the audience compared to the last few times he fought, yea mans becoming a star fast. Happy to see it
Both Jan and Alex's walkout songs were fire. Felt like an Ancient pit fight to the death
truth
I wish he could've joined ufc few yeaes early already 36
Izzy only talked about him in 2020 lol 😂
Alex is a young 36 though, he doesn’t appear to have much wear and tear on his body. The athleticism, cardio, and power is all still there.
Thankfully he started late, so he hasn’t had as much time to sustain injuries as other fighters
@@Sporkonafork1 Bruh he's had 40 professional fights before starting his MMA career. His recovery though is almost superhuman.

I was there. Can confirm him and jan had the most bone chilling walk outs of the night
Even from that far Alex looks like a mountain of a man
Modern day Gladiators
That shit is dope! Poatan is a killer in the cage, but out there he is a such nice guy.
The guy in the back shouting '' He is a bad mannn " Ouhhhh boy yes he is.
Face your fears like pereira getting in the arena
I got madd goosebumps watching this... holy shit lol
POATAAAAAAAAN 😮🇧🇷
Energy on that song💯 you just can't deny it.
Sepultura - Itsari, the whole album is pretty badass tho. listen to bloody roots.
