Even many people who live here don't know about them including the difference between Beach Rose (rosa ragosa) and Beach Plum. The rosa ragosa was taken by sailors on their whaling voyages lasting several years, they used the rose hip for vitamin C.
I almost go to Cape Cod almost every year. I also saw those plants and red fruits everywhere. I was considering try to eat it. But I did not dare eat 🤣
Cape Cod, especially the Outer Cape and Islands is one of my favorite places in America.
