Based on my visit last month, my favorite ride there is Lightning Rod, followed by Big Bear Mountain, Thunderhead, Wild Eagle, Firechaser Express, Tennessee Tornado, Daredevil Falls, Smoky Mountain River Rampage, Dragonflier, Dolywood Express, Blazing Fury and Mystery Mine.
Your experience with lightning rod is the exact same as mine on the voyage at holiday world lol. Rode in the morning and ranked it at 22 then marathoner it later in the day while the sun was setting and after it had warmed up and it jumped all the way to number 4.
Lightning rod is fantastic, but originally it was even better! You constantly felt like the train was about to get thrown off the track and it was regularly shut down for various reasons, including "going too fast". Still a terrific ride and well worth visiting Dollywood for. Make sure to get some cinnamon bread while you're at the park. There's really so much to do in the area (Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville, TN). I've been visiting for years now thanks to relatives nearby and I still haven't covered even 5% of all those towns offer. The national park nearby is also the #1 most visited park in the nation and it's completely free to enter (many national parks charge admission).
While l rod is my number one thunder head is my favorite it’s so fun and intense constant positives laterals and floater airtime it may be rough but that addds to the intenseity plus the trains are good tier the ride never loses pace and it super long
Tennessee Tornado actually was gonna be around 1000 ft longer and was to feature a corkscrew. Unfortunately, due to the expensive tunnel that contains the first drop, Dollywood has Tennessee Tornado as it is today.
I think Wild Eagle looks better than X Flight, but I realize I've not ridden either. I have only ridden Gatekeeper and Swarm. Swarm is only good on the right side but Gatekeeper is even better on both sides, all best in the back row in the inside or outside for whatever forces are available, but the outside for both those forces and also the near misses. I have a question for you: Even though you consider Ghostrider to be a CCI, what coaster do you think is better: Ghostrider or Thunderhead?
Lightning rod is the most intense roller coaster I’ve ever been on and my #2 behind steel vengeance. I have it over voyage and el toro. It’s an unbelievable experience and I went in with sky high expectations and they were exceeded to the fullest. I rode it in 2019 so I couldn’t imagine what it was like pre-neuter
@@CoasterDash I’d say that will be the case. I’m excited for dollywoods next coaster whether it’s next year or 23. I hope they get another really unique ride
coasterdash coasterdash blazing fury is my favorite coaster at dollywood 💯😁🔥🚒👨🚒🧨🧯🤓
smh lil devil will be so much better
I was wondering where you were. Why didn't coasterdash pin the comment?
@@360coasters he’s too busy at worlds of fun to pin it 🙄🙄🙄
@@rzepko haha lol
@@rzepko When are you next posting?
As a young kid, I called Thunderhead Dunderhead to be funny. This was when I was extremely young.
Lightning Rod at #1? I can’t say I’m *ahem* SHOCKED.
I’ll see myself out.
Out you go 👉🏼🚪
I absolutely loved Dollywood in late June. Lightning rod was my 💯th and newest coaster cred.
I hold this park very near and dear to my heart. It’s my fav I’ve ever been too.
It’s definitely up there for me

Great video and great list! Lightning Rod looks really fun and awesome! The top 3 looks great!
Lightning Rod is my #2 out of 200. AMAZING coaster!

How is lightning rod your number one but thunderheads your favorite
Gotta agree with every ranking spot. I love that park so much
Awesome, i’m glad! It’s a beautiful place
Awesome coasters!!!!
I can't wait to get back here to ride Lightning Rod, as last time I visited, it was closed during the remaining balance of the 2020 season 😓
I can’t imagine going to the park and missing it. Hopefully you get back soon
#9 Whistle punk chaser
#8 Blazing fury
#7 Dragonflyer
#6 Fire chaser express
#5 Mystery mine
#4 Tennese tornado
#3 Wild eagle
#2 Thunderhead
#1 Lighting rod
Almost the same list as mine!
@@CoasterDash The only reason I put Wild eagle above Tennese tornado is because the Tennese tornado has been ruogh he last few times I have ridden it.
Actually, after visiting the park in November, I put wild Eagle at #2 and the rest is the same.
I’m going tomorrow and Friday so perfect timing
Have fun! I’ll be at its sister park funny enough
@@CoasterDash that’s interesting, have fun.
i think lil devil will outclass everything at dollywood. except the cinnamon bread
you aren’t wrong.

Ah I see, but I don’t mind that honestly
Almost at 7K subscribers! I just hit a certain milestone myself.
When is the Busch gardens va one coming out?
tomorrow :)

Well, Smiler has two vertical lift hills. And they are right next to each other!
The smiler only has 1 vertical lift hill

I’m going tomorrow😬😬😬 then BGW in two weeks
Just curious, how many coaster credits do you have?
368 right now. getting to 400 soon though.
@@CoasterDash that’s awesome. Hoping u make it.
This might be totally pointless as I've never been there but I feel like Dollywood just needs another big thrill coaster to round out it's line up.
No, they’re fine 😅😂
Steel Vengeance is wayyy overrated. Half of the airtime is floater and the air isn’t violent. Thus, why I don’t really care for steel Vengeance
I didn’t even mention Vengeance except for the comparison segment. I think you commented on the wrong video 😅
