Axl is killing it this tour; for a 60 year old old dude singing very vocally taxing songs, sometimes they don’t land, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see him re-calibrating the mix of low and high registers and it’s sounding better as the tour progresses. I saw them in Hershey and it was sooooo much better than when I saw them in 2021 (which was honestly sort of a mess).
I think he is working to sound like how he did 15 years ago. Once the tour ends I think he will back to that. Once he gets some well deserved vocal rest.
I get the distinct impression that Axl's mickey mouse voice is due to in-ear monitors. He seems to flicker in and out of it, and it's much easier to do the distorted sound than the clean one.

i think he should stop singing the ones he cant sing anymore. it's better to admit it he cant do it anymore, no offence these singers get used up through the rough years.
Online recordings are poor quality. Online recordings do not do Axl's vocals any justice. Axl is still awesome, live in concert. I do not see anything wrong with Axl's performances, as long as he loves what he does & as long as many fans still love his vocals, live in concert.

I think Axl is trying to get back to using his raspy voice but is also mixing it with his current voice. Which is pretty smart
