Dajuan Wagner was a walking bucket. Him and LeBron on the Cavs would've been crazy. Stupid Crohn's disease ruined his career. I'm glad to see DJ carry on the Wagner name. He's special too

Stuff to collect from this game
-Bronny vs DJ will be a fun matchup at the level for sure. They just need to grow a lil bit more
-Amari is that guy.Selfish but nice with the rock
-Sierra Canyon coaching is AWFUL. Clearly no direction offensively speaking, literally played full court defense the whole game. Rotation terrible. Seems like an AAU coach.

Great job on Bronnys part and Bailey. Terrible coaching job! Just because all season you’ve been full court pressing sub par teams and it’s been effective, if you go up against a team that’s breaking the press 85-90% of the time and scoring on over 75-80% of those, you have to drop back and play good 1 on 1 defense or zone. I felt Sierra was just running all over the floor during the press with no purpose other than to give up a bucket to the other team. They could have easily won this game if they would have trashed the full court press.

I hope Bronny realizes the team with the most points wins, not the team with the best sportsmanship or team ball.
Look at DJ, some of his teammates were struggling and he picked up the slack and got buckets.
This was the one game even the biggest Bronny stans would have to admit was one he should have tried to be aggressive. You’re matching up with the # 1 player in your class and position and you don’t go at him lol 🤦🏽‍♂️.
I’m growing to accept that asking this kid to score is asking too much, so I’ve lowered my expectations.
The handle ain’t there and I have never seen an actual offensive bag from him. If it ain’t an open lay up or spot up 3, he ain’t got much else to work with.
I accept what his game is at this level, but we gotta stop the fake optimism. Any player with Bronny’s profile, limited offensive skills and production would not be a top 100 player if there last name ain’t James.

Love the Bronny optimism in the comments. But we been trying to tell you all this from the jump. Watch a complete game and see for yourself that he’s really good. SC struggles bc of selfish play and spotty coaching. The way the two teams played was night and day when it shouldn’t have been. SC coaching seems to focus on a “system” of 3 to 4 stars playing their own way versus actually learning and thinking the game. Lineups are not the best and somebody has to tell more than a few of the players that if they just look for one more pass when they think about shooting they’ll be undefeated.

These comments are flooded with LeBron and Bronny superfans and stans. I had to check again to make sure who actually won the game and who lost. Yes both teams are good and yes Bronny and D.J. both hold their own but let's give credit where it's do.
If Bronny would have used the exact same move on D.J. yall would be singing him praises in the comments and even saying how D.J. is overrated etc. and doesn't deserve that #1 ranking.
If Camden would have lost to SC, it wouldn't be due to bad coaching or an offensive foul that wasn't called. It would just be, "Oh they are a better team".
Fans of the prep and private programs that recruit elite players from all over the country, who in many instances are already pretty developed and can hold their own on the court, have a huge advantage over local private schools, especially ones in the inner city.
Don't get me wrong, imo Camden has elite coaching and training as well, but I have a lot more respect when these type of wins occur because these kids coming from public programs have to prove themselves alot more.
There is nothing wrong with having a preferred team but the bias is these comments.....
SC......especially for them to be stacked on talent with quite a few ranked players.
I believe D.J. is the only ranked player for Camden although his teammates have gotten several D1 offers as well.
Camden came ready to play, SC played passive to me at times like they weren't 100% committed to winning. IDK, maybe some tensions going on behind the scenes and/or maybe because Camden had recently lost to Monteverde and Calvary SC assumed it would be an easy win. Not saying SC should have won, but I expected more hustle from them.
This season, however, I feel Camden is a better team.

On the other hand I will say that while the NBA isn't drafting the majority of guards for their defense it really helps draftees get minutes early in their careers off the bench. Guys like Tyrese Maxey and Divenchenzo are prime examples of players who got minutes in teams that are champ contenders because of their defense and hustle. Those minutes are what helped them show off that they've got chops on the offensive end.

People need to stop giving Bronny so much credit when he’s not performing no where near in talent level. He has as much or more than anyone on his team or his class, yet he doesn’t play no where near his talent level. He has one of the purest jumper in the country but only attempts to shoot he’s wide open. He never attempts to take anyone off the dribble and very rarely drives to the bucket. When he brings the ball up, he passes it as soon as he’s defended. He tends to stay on the opposite side of the ball taking himself out of the offense. He plays like LeBron did in the NBA championship Dallas. It actually seems like he has no confidence or don’t want to be on the floor. When he was on the floor, the team didn’t make as many turnovers, but if he would asserted himself and been more aggressive like Bailey, then would have won that game. There’s no reason he shouldn’t be top 5 in the ESPN poll instead on 43. The big difference I saw between him and Wagner was quickness off the dribble. But, Bronny never takes anyone off the dribble because he gives the ball up as soon and someone covers him. Maybe, they have him playing out of position as a PG. Maybe, this is a coaching issue and he should be a SG where the coach is getting him at least 10 shots per game. What did he shoot, 5 jumpers last nigh?? Best jumper in the country!!! Actually, his formal teammate Brandon Boston said Bronny would be the best player in the country his senior year. This shows what kind of talent he was showing in practice, but for whatever reason he’s not showing nothing like that in games.

Best assessment of the kid that I’ve seen. I always said people are doing him a disservice by not being honest with him.
Where I disagree with you is I think his issues are skill related. He doesn’t have a great handle and has never shown any 1-on-1 scoring skills, that’s why he struggles to create his own offense.
I think unfortunately it’s too late for him. I don’t see him growing anymore, and at 6’2 he’s limited as guard with a weak handle and inability to create offense by himself.
People forget but he’s a full year older than DJ Wagner. I think we need to accept what he is and move on.
Kid never asked for any of this, nor has he ever stated that basketball is his life. Let him have fun and lower your expectations.
This game showed me everything I needed to see. I was expecting him to get up for this game especially since he was matching up with DJ, the # 1 player in his class and position. Boy showed fire at all.
If he can’t do it in Highschool he ain’t ever doing at any level above that.

I don't think Bronny loves playing basketball. He clearly loves playing video games. There are more videos of him doing that than any pick up ball or gym run. @@CREOLEHEAT I think you are correct. At least that’s the way it seems to me. A lot of kid dedicate themselves as a way out of a bad situation.
