I mean from my experience with nitro planes it’s mostly a visual sort of thing because electric motors are just as good and cheaper but nitro you can fly or drive with less time inbetween drives or flights but it’s far more expensive to run
Where do I buy the fuel
Yea just something cool about good old school nitro burning! Take two identical trucks to a park set them down and use them and everybody will run to watch the nitro car because it’s smoking and making lots of noise and just sounds cool! The electric is easier and may be faster but it lacks the sophisticated inner workings of a nitro car!
I used to run nitro cars in my bedroom as a kid and pretty much fucked my lungs up lol
Please, spend at least 3 tanks on break-in engine. I know that you do it for yourself and at your own responsibility, but a lot of people will do just like you and then complain that the nitro is bad, because the engine not stood even just 2 gallons of fuel. :(

YES ! 4 tanks without move , and 3 more movin very gently ! mine has just 1 month (buggy) , i'm sure the engine is good but plastic parts ...no comment hahaha , nothing break but i know if i use big jumps that's catastrophic hahaha
230$ that’s cheap I have never owned gas powered, my first hobby grade was 1982 may be about time to get one
@Asif Ifas any suggestions? This one is under £200 and the only Hobao cars I can see are either small or much more expensive

I keep waiting to hear the shift even though i know it's not going to. I just love the sound of a nitro shifting gears!
The reason it kept running after it flipped over is because that fuel tubing is pretty long. When a buggy or truggy or any nitro car flips over it just runs off of the fuel in the tubing and since the tubing was a decent length it had a decent amount of fuel left to keep running

Yeah, the only thing is that it’s not “name brand” and there might not be as many upgrades and parts that you need if you break the buggy

Absolutely hate the AA batteries in the car Because I’ve had bad experiences with mine
Simply add a 2 cell lipo. Solder an XT 60 connection on there, and you're set! You can use Velcro to secure the battery, it would only set you back about 30 bucks tops!
Edgar S yeah but is 7.2 volts safe to run your throttle and steering servos? I run a 5 cell NiMh for 6 volts in my nitro cars
I tend to use rechargeable ones. They tend to be better quality.

I'm not sure about rc cars but I like running higher octane in my real cars because it's easier for it to combust at higher rpms when you want to pass someone.

It seems to be a copy of the hpi trophy 3.5 ( i have one they are pretty good) as for the engine mine was defective and my friends one blew up in a runaway. Im sure i was just unlucky and my friends runaway was caused by the battery coming loose so not really the cars design fault.

@@billchoi1290 Needs much maintenance. Cleaning after every drive, checking the screws etc... And need to know some stuff first. But then it's real fun

I've been in this addiction for 35 years , I own 6 gas vehicles that are 15 years old , they still run and I love them , it was tough going from gas to coal burning produced elelectric but that's were the hobby headed so I did , but now I'm back cuz of the RAMINATOR !!! YEEEEEHAAAAAAW. !!!

A company in the netherlands were i live builds industructable bodies for the kraton and outcast, their name is, De wit rc kappen, you can contact them on facebook. you need this to make your kraton the ultimate basher!
Stock Kraton body lasts me a long time anyway dude and I think they look better, cars have to look good on video. X-Maxx is an exception as it eats bodys
@@KevinTalbotTV that's my big complaint about the unbreakable bodies, they are pretty fugly and there isn't a whole lot you can do to make them look good.

Force aren’t all that they don’t last long. Even when tuned right the piston liner wears quick

I have a buggy from "MHD" 1/10 exactly like Kiosho model , nitro "force 18 " engine , for 300 euros (Belgium) but 500 euro with all accesories like fuel / battery / glos starter etc, chassis,engine ,shock absorber stock is good but other plastic parts ... lost a rear right dongbone 2 times !
I fixed thoses things and wait to buy REAL aluminium parts , the buggy is pretty good without original plastics parts !
Yeah i call that car hong nor super smooth super strong just slam it into a wall at full speed and it wont be damaged that bad and it is so stable like it just doesnt flip super very stable car floor it suddenly and it wont skid a bit

I used to run HPIs and they were all minimum $300.00 entry. So anything below that in my book is good. But this? Almost all already upgraded to aluminum and metal parts? Dirt cheap is an understatement. It would cost you around $850.00 to buy and upgrade your own with all those metal and aluminum parts.

I do miss that nitro sound. I do not miss the endless tuning, fuel costs and people moaning about the noise.
Brushless conversion was the best thing I did.

Never had a nitro car before. What are you supposed to look for when you tune it? How do you know when it's tuned right?
I used to have one with the go 21 engine. Brand new the main gearbox blew up first day at my track. And couldn't find a replacement.
Hi kev I have a new catch phrase for you without a doubt air it out or without a doubt go flat out
I've always wanted to get a lathe and mill and a bunch of little nitro engine top ends and make a V8 nitro engine out of them.. I think it'd be awesome but just to get it to run you'd probably have to supercharge it. (look up 2 stroke Detroit Diesel 8V71 they work pretty much the same way.. minus the exhaust valves and oiling system) The other cool thing to do would be to make a radial engine out of them.

Not bad, I have a .18 exceed forza with nearly the same body. Currently making her brushless and going to use engine elsewhere. Most of those parts are in hop up kit. Mine is 2 speed tho. They RUN!!!

I've seen the small xmaxx hold up better than the xmaxx, I've seen the granite outperform them both whilst being easier to work on. See if your local shop has them available for test drive. I think all of them are great machines.
Hobby Media personal preference, but small cars wheely really easy. Keep that in mind....you want wheels on ground mostly to control it...😎
If your into flips n wheelies constantly go with the grant but if you like raceing with your buds get the Kraton it does a bit of both

I'm older now late 40s I want to get back into rc cars along with my 2 boys I'm on a tight budget around £400 for 2 rc cars
What would you recommend and what's better battery or nitro in your opinion
