Hi Spencer 👋 👋 I've been a subscriber for almost a year now. I've been loving these posts of your trip! I took that same train to Scotland. The scenery is so beautiful! I had to go to Inverness during lockdown, and then two hours further to Gareloch to film the movie "Out of Darkness," a Stone Age horror film that was released in the U.S. a few months ago. It's set 45 million years ago. The cinematography really captures its timeless beauty. Being there was amazing. Ignore most of what trolls say (hell, it's always interesting to see what people say). But reality is your vlogs are very good. If I say so myself, I'm intelligent, curious, and have remarkably good taste. I deliberately went to youtube to see if you had uploaded. I think this worth more than any 10 troll comments. :) Sticky toffee pudding is lovely. Have no idea what fools would say it is only for tourists. Utter nonsense. I'd say try Haggis properly...and not in batter. Hell, I don't think I've done it, but can imagine it would be too filling or 'heavy'. I applaud the drunken foolishness and missing one's train! Proper job! You've done a lot on this trip, and I get you had to a fit a bit in. On your next trip, kick back, see Oxford, find some gorgeous country village pubs, perhaps watch a game cricket. No, you don't need to understand. The picnic, booze, and a lovely summer day on the village green is a treat in itself.
Getting haggis further up north as part of a meal in a pub/restaurant is the best way to try it for its full enjoyment. Usually served with a whisky sauce. The chippy versions aren’t bad but they aren’t the best.
