when you write scripts/bots you view the game differently.
you view the culture surrounding the game differently.
this results in poetic thoughts like you did at 2:45
it comes from a place of novelty where the scripter believes he is on a road less traveled.
and this is true, so no surprise there. playing the game vs scripting the game
Viewer retention started dropping exactly at 2:45, disliking and clicking away from the video doesn't make it any less true.
@@nomscripts accounts get banned but scripts prevail. it sounds like a cope and it is to an extent. but improving upon something vs starting fresh is the point. sometimes getting banned is the motivation required to fix something you previously knew needed fixing. i am currently experiencing this.

Hey Nom I reckon the reason the pvm bot % has gone up is because of the detector getting more accurate banning accounts with similar stats. If your account matches the profile of Jagex confirmed bots, then its more likely you are a bot, even if you haven't trained recently

I've had the plugin flag me as 3% mort myre fungus bot when I was a f2p player with no access to morytania.
It has my ironman account at a small % chance of being a zalcano bot even though I'm nowhere close to doing SOTE :P
Possibly add dead clicks to the bot. So you occasionally leave a herb or 2 in your inventory uncleaned every couple of inventories. Also possibly adding in some amount of randomness with repeating patterns. So you can get the same pattern twice in a row. Just to add a bit more Humanity to it?
All good ideas, all depends how much you can be bothered to add.
my scripts are not good enough in the sense that it does what you suggest by mistake sometimes.
upon realizing this i determined that it was actually not so bad if i left this "by mistake" aspect alone.
its funny how it works out in the end.

@@yeetman1422 The best possible bot is one that can't be distinguished from a human. That means random breaks, not 100% efficient, some mistakes as well as randomness in a human-like way and not playing 20 hours a day. But this is only if you actually want the account to stay unbanned.

Just food for thought Nom but when I was looking at you doing ur herb bot could you not technically make a bot do a random order selection from 1 to 28 to make the bot seem more human like being that you could do loads of different possible styled acitons? Probably a stupid question but I thought it sounded interesting.
If you do it yourself, after a while you'll likely default to a few patterns. You could add a small chance you do a completely random pattern.
the reason i do not do as you suggest is that it seems too random to me.
it would be super easy to sort out code wise but i would be spooked at how random it is.
too unhuman like for me to implement it.
@@yeetman1422 Yeah I seriously doubt anyone cleans herbs completely randomly in their inventory, it will be a pattern. The way to make it more realistic is to add a random chance for a mistake, which is what a real person would eventually do. Also, having too much efficiency is a detriment since very few people can stay efficient for a long period of time. Everyone takes breaks, and varies in efficiency during their task.

I've honestly lost all dedication to making bots, once Jagex stopped making good updates. The game just feels so dead and bottling the same stuff is lame. Need to bot the more advanced things, such as raids.

More RWT happens every hour at the Duel arena than I've ever done in years of playing, I don't see why my reason or means to learn coding matters when the result is useful long after I've stopped playing.

There are games with modding support that is positive o.o
Like Cities Skylines on steam got a ton of modding support which improved it.
Personally I don't use it but clearly runelite is making plenty useful plugins, plenty other games going too.
Tbh if you've done any more positive ones like that I'll check those videos out.
I don't have any issue with the plugin that tries to identify and report actual bots, I found that interesting and that'd help the game.
I just found it odd everytime you mentioned you wanted to get away from the clicking on the game or words to that effect.

You're assuming the things on this channel are all that I do again, I'm already learning other things which I don't put on UA-cam, a tool I made for another game was promoted on the game's official UA-cam channel, it's just not relevant for me to post here.
I did make a few videos on making Runelite plugins and they got very few views, the content I put out is determined by the audience and what do you know, this audience on this specific channel wants to see cheats. I might make another channel in the future, but no plans yet.
What if you enjoy playing the game by scripting? As long as you're not gold farming why is that a problem to you? If you enjoy clicking rocks for hours, or other tedious tasks then that is your right to do so, but people can enjoy doing whatever they want.
