- ORGANIST ENTERTAINS FROM 42 YEARS AGO. THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ELECTRONIC ORGAN. FOUND DURING MOVING HOUSE IN 2018. APOLOGIES FOR SOME SOUND MALFUNCTIONS BUT THE CASSETTE HAS WORN OVER THE YEARS. HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS NOSTALGIA.
The UA-cam logarithm really knows what I like. I feel privileged that this wonderful old broadcast was recommended to me. So glad you saved it on tape and shared it- thank you!
What fabulous playing, thanks so much for sharing.
Really enjoyed this and was completely bowled over when previously unheard tracks from Alan Haven and Bryan Rodwell. 5 stars. 👍👍👍👍👍
That's a great blast from the past, many thanks, Nigel!
Thoroughly enjoyed that!
Thanks for uploading this, much appreciated
Brian Sharp, Jerry Allen, Alan Haven, Brian Rodwell, all legends.
Couldn’t agree more
And of course Klaus Wunderlich!
Thanks for posting this Nigel. My Dad used to record TOE but I've not been able to find anything. He must have taped over them or they broke. I never imagined it or the organ world would end. Childhood naivety.
It’s not ended it’s just not as popular as it used to be in the 70’s 80’s 90’s. Sign of the times I’m afraid. Still lots of clubs presenting some fantastic talent each month.
Yes, of course you are correct. Wrong word, I meant really the level of activity and of course TOE which did end.
@@tcrosslinho5565 We still have ATOS radio and The Organist Encores as well as other online radio shows.
I just got to the end of the show and RR mentioned a concert with Noel Briggs and Bobby Pagan at the Granada Welling. I'm pretty sure that, courtesy of Bobby Pagan, I guested on that show, one of my early appearances on theatre organ.
Andrew Gilbert glad it’s got memories for you. I’ve known for ages about the tape. Just finding time and a few pics to put it together. Quality not brilliant but for a 42 year old tape its digitised pretty well.
Niles Standoffish Olglethorpe really has the anointed touch on that Thomasallenoweryitzer organ
