Great conversation and almost painfully tense. Some techniques for lightening the burden from the conversation might be helpful. Keep going Blake, love your work. Or should I say: life!
I think there’s personal wounds and universal wounds. We all have them. They’re inherent to the human condition. The problem isn’t the wound itself, it’s that we don’t take care of it. Like a physical wound - when you tend to it (clean it, bandage it, etc.) it heals. If you don’t tend to it, it can get infected and fester. We can’t help but carry our unhealed wounds into our present. The parts of our life where we feel stuck are often signposts for those unhealed wounds. Real change only ever happens at the level of being. I believe the most revolutionary and impactful act one can take is to heal thyself. When we heal, we become better equipped at helping others heal. Our healing becomes a template for others, a container for others to feel safe to do the same. And I think that, in and of itself, is an act of compassion. Always appreciate the depth of conversation. Thanks for helping to build that much needed container.
Rich is such an aware man. I admire this guy to bits.
