Cauliflower served up as steak is a starvation diet to the extreme. I'd think someone hated me if that was served up to me as part of the main course. I'd just be hungry two minutes later.

@ALLAMERICANA Oh I know Baker's work well. I had his book the first day it came out. His promotion of carnivore along with his fellow carnivore doctors contains a big chunk of Darwinian evolution with their millions of years timeline for a species specific diet. The two cannot be reconciled.

I have a better trick. I just had a cheap and 3/4 inch thick Walmart ribeye for dinner and managed to cook it medium rare on the stove while producing a nice crust and rendering all the fat. Dry brine for a day and then put it in a hot pan with ghee. That's it.

Cauliflower is a W veggie in my book, perfect for making mashed potatoes substitute. Still, not meat.

Mashed potatoes for me are there just as a vehicle for other flavors since their inherent taste is very mild and doesn't get in the way of whatever you mix with it. Their silky smooth texture as an amorphous solid is very pleasant, and makes it easy to mix with just about anything you want to mix into it. For this reason, I want to try that carnivore mashed potato recipe that's been gaining popularity recently.
You should watch videos on making cottage cheese taste like mashed potatoes, some people swear by it and it's probably healthier than cauliflower (no risk of messing with thyroid, no fiber to cause inflammation).

Years ago I made cauliflower steaks but again that was years ago. If I remember correctly flatulence was one of many side effects. It’s grass-fed steak now!

Some people actually call them cauliflower steaks. It also masquerades as rice, mashed potatoes and pizza crust. I once had deep-fried florets and they tastes very much like scallops. Like most of the other cruciferous vegetables, they're a product of selective breeding - sort of like "Lookee what I made!" Haven't bought one in decades.
And cruciferous veggies are enemies of human thyroid glands.

As a new carnivore, I have a question. Why do I feel better with lower fat cuts of meat such as pork loin or chicken instead of higher fat cuts? I know that higher fat cuts are recommended but I just feel way better eating lean meats. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Right lol. I did that cauliflower substitution when I was on keto. Cauliflower pizza crust, cauliflower rice, etc. Tasted awful and my health worsened. Carnivore changed my health.

Cauliflower made me so sick. I was eating all the time cuz I thought it was healthy. My hashimotos got so bad despite doing everything I thought was healthy and good. It had to be all the cauli was eating because I took it out of my diet and things immediately began to improve
