Can you do a video on how to program e90 & e60 fobs with this because I’m not able to.. you told launch to F off and I listened I bought this. Device because it programs bmw keys lol.. I had to buy a ak90+ r270 & hitech2 3.17 to do what I was trying todo with the im1 I bought.

I must tell you that Otofix is not a German company.. Otofix are the cheap versions of Autel products.. The Otofix IM1 is the cheap version of the IM508 from Autel.. With cheap version I refer to the software.. With the IM1, you have to pay for functions that are included in the IM508.. The IM1 have a 10inch screen and the VCI (bluetooth instead cable).. The IM508 have only 7inch screen and cable but, the software in the IM508 is the full version.. Autel products are better than Otofix and the prices are very similar.. Otofix only have middle range products equivalent to MK808, DS808, MK906 and IM508 from Autel but the Otofix software versions are the not full, with "pay for use functions" that in Autel are included.. You should recommend the Autel IM508 because it is better tool with a similar price.. Otofix products are incomplete versions and expensive if you compare with Autel equivalent..

First, thanks a heap for your videos. Been working on Bimmers for 20+ years now (as an owner, not professionally) and have learned quite a bit from your channel. Currently I am stuck on one of my BMWs (2010 X5d). Wouldn't bother asking for guidance usually, but been on this now for about a year with no luck. My DDE has locked itself (4746) due to SCR fault 41F9. Ran out of mileage for test cycles using ISTA-D and replacing parts. Tried to reprogram DDE (successful completed using ICOM+voltage stabilizer) with ISTA-P hoping it would blank the codes. Didn't work. Any way to blank the DDE so I can continue diag on the SCR system? Very frustrating system by the way. Anway, thanks again for the videos. This tablet definitely seems promising.
Ever get this resolved? If not, then what wiping clear the main DDE system does is instructing the electronic system to re-evaluate each module and re-collect information, which will again pick up the information about a sensor giving off a signal which will re-store the error fault back in the system. This would mean the fault is accurate and needs to be fixed. Have you looked into replacing the Nox sensor.
Lm1 -d1 does ether of them do all the things ista does as I have the dynamic drive light on. And I want to reset the adaptations ? Also I’m not a business. just like many others I like to work on my own cars. Thanks for your videos they do come in handy. I just want to make sure I’m getting the right tool for my needs especially as they are not cheep just as a novices proactive 👍
I just want to confirm because I can't find anyone doing this with this tool, are you able to code with this tool? For example once you retrofit something on your BMW like heated steering wheel, you have the hardware install, then code it to active the function, is this possible with this tool.

Hey bro, I have a question for you. If I wanted to be able to do it all, especially on E65/66 would you recommend the otofix D1 pro? Im not super up to speed on the scan tools. I am still studying. But I want to buy (1) tool and be done. You know what I mean? You know how fussy the e65 can be.. I have some Dsc , and other issues I need to resolve. Along with it would be nice to program an extra key

That is correct ! And the reason they wasn’t clear was only because they didn’t know when it would be released and it’s only now been released and that’s why I did the review to make it as clear as possible what the differences are. But overall the IM1 is a brilliant brilliant piece of kit for what it offers espeically for the price aswell. I would send the D1 back and get the IM1 much better

One thing I noticed is that the IM1 does not appear to have the battery/charging system app. I have the BT1-Lite and my D1 can pair with it. The D1 also has the battery test app, the IM1 does not. Any ideas as to whether the IM1 will interface with the BT1-lite?
I noticed on their product page that the IM1 is only 32gb capacity. Is there an expandable storage? D1 is at 64gb… Curious to know if it’s somewhat future proof. Also, someone here mentioned the Battery Apps are not on IM1.

It has the better n52b30 which im assuming is the better n52 engine. Do you think thats a good deal? Just want some input from somewhere. Im coming from e36’s and never liked e46, always wanted an e90 and seems like you vouch for the early n52 which this one has i think. Its a US 2006 330i

I agree ! I have no idea why they never. I can only assume it’s purely because they sent me The D1 that I have the other functions so they didn’t see the point of me having them features on this. As a future buyer I want to SEE the scanner do what I need it to do. (This isn’t a criticism of YOU at all). Just hoping the scanner companies read this. Give the reviewers a fully functioning tool. Ideally give you the code so part of the review is you/the tester “upgrading” to the additional functionality. I’m a diy guy on my own cars, not a business owner so I really have to justify the purchase of a $1k tool. I know it will be helpful, but my ROI will be months or even more than a year. Every company got this tools from CHINA just change a brand name, am not believe that’s totally manufacturing in Germany. But that’s business. Same happens with all cell more money more features little by little. After 2 years that’ll gonna be OBSOLETE. Car manufacturer want MONEY ( Dealer Software Control )
You are correct. When he flips the IM1 over in video…it says Made in China OTOFIX is an Autel company and some of them are Made in Vietnam. My Otofix D1 Pro is Made in Vietnam & service and support is China. My D1 Pro comes with 2 years of free upgrades. One has to log in and register serial number to be able to upgrade dongle & software for the numerous vehicles listed. It’s a very nice unit. It was easy for me to log in, because I already own an Autel and I just used my email & password for my Autel and they immediately recognized me👍
