    What you are talking about! It’s more than an Escape! Much more capable off road and a lot more capable on snow! There is only the platform in common but the mechanic is very different! See on UA-cam where they use it off road and you will see that it’s not an Escape wrap in a Bronco suit! And its popularity is climbing! Did you see the sales numbers of the last quarter? More popular than a Mazda CX5. It’s in the 10 position on the chart. So it climbs each month!

    Based on all the reviews I’ve seen in other videos where they actually take the Bronco Sport off road, it’s not just a glorified Escape. But I guess that’s hard to tell driving it around a dealer parking lot and 30 seconds out on the street.

      Everyone seems to forget that the original Bronco also had a little brother, the Bronco II (also known as the Bronco Jr.) anyway it's been proven the Sport is much more off road capable than other compact SUVs of this size, especially the Badlands version.

    This thing can handle serious offroading. Plenty of videos showing it

    I agree with this being a terrible review. Actually a waste of time. We just traded in our 22 Badlands for a 25 Badlands because we liked it so much and wanted to upgrade to new.
    Comparing a fully loaded and teched up Badlands to a base model Wrangler is apples and oranges. Yeah, the base Wrangler will be more capable offroading, but you'll be driving a basic, noisy, rough impractical vehicle everywhere else for that price. We had both a 2014 Wrangler JKU and a 2018 Wrangler JKU (fully loaded with leather and tech), so we have compared.
    The price difference up here in Canada for a comparably equipped Jeep is an additional $15 - 20K.
    Maybe next time you do a review talking about a vehicle comparing it to others in the segment, you should do more than look at the window sticker prices and drive them around a couple of asphalt parking lots ffs.

    No big changes with the 2024... I just bought it a week ago (Badlands 24') and I love it. I'm very impressed by the power, actually still no full stepped on the gas pedal to see what happens but it launch pretty quick in normal mode pressing half way. The response in Sport mode is even more quickly. I bought it fro daily city use and it's a great car. Great on the road, turns, space to park, all the necessary tech, confortable and quick.

    I loved my Bronco Sport. It was fun to drive. I crashed it and contemplating getting another one. I had the same thoughts. It is too much for what it is. More options available for similar prices.

    I have a 21 First Edition and it works extremely well off-road. It is good on the road too. If I were to get a new Bronco sport it would be the Badlands with the Sasquatch package.

    This is really just what the Escape should be. Like if you look at a pre-2013 Escape it would seem to have more in common with this than the new escapes. And at least you could actually maybe escape something in this but you probably couldn’t in the vehicle that is literally named Escape.

    It's ground clearance rivals a stock 4runner. It's ground clearance is fine. Not having low range is the real issue off road.

    A few years back my brother was losing his mind because he ordered the bronco and of course I was extremely jealous that he had one because at the time I wanted one so bad and when I went over to his house to see it I asked him where the bronco was and he said you're looking at it lol! It was the broncos sport and I thought it was a Ford explorer

  • @geofox84

    Why should this only be $30k? Is it comparable to a mid-level Crosstrek? You aren't spending any less money to get a 4-door Wrangler with features like Adaptive Cruise and guaranteed this is a better daily driver than the Jeep for most people.

    I was shocked when you said the price…it shouldn’t over $40k for a baby Bronco. Otherwise I don’t hate it, but the price.

    As a long time ford customer we ended up with a chevy this weekend. Wife needed a new car with the main criteria as heated seats (northern midwest). The cheapest bronco sport within 50 miles was $27k. Mavericks with heated seats were more like $30k+ around us. Ended up with a chevy trax LT with everything she wanted for $24k. The bronco sport is overpriced especially if you just want the 2.0 motor which forces you into badlands trim. Ford better look at small suvs or cars again because they just aren't competitive for basic transportation.

    • @veganpotterthevegan
      @veganpotterthevegan 7 днів тому +1

      Ford is having no issues selling these or the Mavericks. They know their pricing is fine there

    • @spyder000069
      @spyder000069 7 днів тому

      Possibly. I do see the lots loaded with them at the moment but also understand we are out of season. I talked to head sales manager at the dealership (they are ford and chevy) and they said everyone is loaded with 2024 models an no rebates and they are sitting. His words. Not mine. The main point being that ford no longer has an economy vehicle. They are leaving money on the table. At the $20k launch price the maverick could have fit that bill but that is no longer. Cheapest escape near me is $26K.

      @spyder000069 my local dealer is one of the biggest Ford dealers in the country. Its very close to my house and I'm there often because my Transit vans have been a total nightmare🙃 They have a lot of MachEs, Mustangs and base model Rangers. Broncos of any kind don't last long in the lot .

    • @spyder000069
      @spyder000069 7 днів тому

      @@veganpotterthevegan Im in northern illinois and the dealers around me have lots of broncos, bronco sports, escapes, f150s and so forth. The least on the lots are rangers. They have a handful but most only 2.3L. Ive only seen a few 2.7l on the lots. As an example if you look up rod baker ford plainfield illinois they have 39 broncos in stock. 23 mavericks, 35 bronco sports, only 10 rangers. Even our local small dealerships have plenty.

      @spyder000069 I moved to Utah from Milwaukee. Spent lots of time in Northbrook. It seems your dealer likes ordering vehicles that are bad for your market🙃 I barely see Mustangs here in Utah other than at the dealer because thats the bad choice they make.

    You have to be careful, the dealer tried to pass this sport off as a real bronco and charge me 46K for a 2024 Badlands, with a three cylinder engine? 👎
