Love the drone footage and the editing on the field work. Always look forward to the next Larson Farms video. Thanks, guys.
Love Brodie. Good man.
Chet Tks for showing what an how much work it is to farm . People now a days have no idea what’s involved! Godbless keep videos coming 🙏🏻
Just go to the grocery store and get all the food you want. Why all the hype with farms?
Can not say enough on the quality of the videos. I have been watching for 2 years now solid and look foward to every video. Love the drone footage. It is top notch. Thanks for all you do filming your day to day operations.
Those will be memories he will remember for a lifetime. Working with his grandpa. Safe harvest!
Double cropping is fun, harvest in the fall plant wheat and harvest in the summer and plant beans right away
How handy is it to be able to easily make adjustments on the move!
SE Missouri here. We are harvesting soybeans and planting wheat right now. Wheat will come out around June and double crop back in soybeans for harvest in fall.
Fantastic demonstration of that new peace of Equipment, You did an excellent job demonstrating it😊
I love your tractor and tillage tool, they are both very good farm equipment for your setting. I bet Brody loved driving the tractor today.
Awesome New tilage rig! Looks real pretty matching and all. Brodie was cruising having a Good Ole Time. And you know Brodie will keep it all nicely cleaned.
Most heartbreaking hail damage I’ve seen was Welkers in their best wheat field they had last year. They’ve been in a severe drought, they had 2 combines running, Nick had just said how much that field was helping yield totals & the storm hit. They were hammered with hail. Combines full of grain at the time which made more of mess when the hail melted.
They need to make a quick set for the blade angle. Hit one button and it jumps to 10 for the heavy trash areas. And then back to the regular for the remainder of the field.
Back in the days of using using 50 hp. tractors our tillage equipment was 4 bottom plows, 10 ft. wide disks, 4 row planters, 10 foot grain tables. And so on, this new machinery is realy fascinating.
New Mexico, Texas . We grow chile, and Pecans and Cotton have some huge dairy producers because warmer weather lets cows produce more milk.
We use the halo on our Corn stalks ahead of soybeans. 2.5-3 inches. 5-8 degree agle. Southern MN
Being able to load a variable angle map from what the combine did will be something we it comes out. Like when you said 1800lb beans on the hill tops and 4000lb beans in the low spots. And the gangs change accordingly. Technology is amazing. I would imagine this is only 2-4 years away from production
Prescription tillage mapping is aleady available.
Looks like real bromance in the tractor when you two guys sits so close to each other. What a cosy cab. Hahaha 😆
Awesome video. You have done great to be able to use and advertise all of the new demo equipment. Win Win for.everyone.
All I can say about Sanford is WOW!! The build amazing equipment.
Nice drone shots
I want a Salford Halo now, and I don't even own a farm. Heck I don't even own a tractor, but I want one!
I still say we need a Randy cam. Come on Chet, make it happen.
That new Salford Halo works fantastic the worked up ground looks great.
Send that drone footage to Salford that looked incredible looking forward to see how it does on corn stalks being able to change the angle of the disks on the go is impressive thanks Chet for another great video
We run Degleman pro till and love them
Awesome video again with some great drone footage. Looks like the halo will work well for you. Seen Reese Ivers and Ivers Farms got their new Salford home from the show and it was working out well with the spreader on it for seeding cover crops. They had some great footage of theirs also.
When hauling combines custom cutting. I seen guys following combine with solford an the seeder right behinde that. In kansas and oklahoma chet.
Great footage / editing / music track! 💪👍🏼
Yes, down south we do some double cropping but not much. We tend to plant some wheat, Rye or oats as a cover crop to help bring the nitrogen back up into the soil.
At minute 13:50, is that the lake Dougo lives on? That is a nice view. Thank you to all farmers!!
I really like how that new halo works. Really neat. Cool video. 👍❤️
Love the new Salford demo I am sure it will be on the farm permanently
Great innovation for cultivating a field.
Does that whiteboard at 14:44 say "Dougo without an Accident"?? "90 days"?? That's hilarious!
I hope you get to trial of a couple of different combines this year. Best way for us to see how they go and what sample they can provide.
Looks like beautiful ground for winter wheat!
Nice piece. It doesn’t look that big, until somebody goes back and stands by it.
Pretty dang good. That Halo flat eats up the dirt!! I wonder how it handles it when it gets kinda wet. I see lots of icky and sticky all over those disks. Sure was good here though. Great shots, love the drone and varied camera angles. I LIKE seeing what is going on from all points of view. Thanks guy,
Ran a 30ft Kwik-Till last week on a Case IH 500 with tires at 13.5mph on 300 acres. It’s a blast to run tillage at that speed!!!
Chad you do a good job and telling people what is going on on the job been a fan for 1 years
Hey Chet, in the video you checked the depth of the blades perpendicular ( you know, 90 degrees) to the cut direction? Did you cut the field in that direction as well?
Chet: it’s interesting how Larson’s Farm uses Quads for tillage/harvesting and JD track for most planting and spraying. Awesome work!
JD tracks fit nice in rows for spraying.
In Se Ga winter wheat, followed by onions, and sobeans or cotton for 3rd crop.
That new disk makes the ground look like fine potting soil ! Too bad you can't put in a winter crop.
I am not sure you would want to have UK conditions, we can sew straight after harvesting, but it rains a whole bunch more here, winter and summer.
Thanks for putting out so many videos. We enjoy having one every few days. We also appreciate you staying true to the way you started, because of this, you are our favorite from channel..The videos are fun and informative.
Larson farms has the coolest equipment
Those rolling baskets sure do level things out nicely. You did a very nice demo.
Yea drone footage was sweet
Cover crops are very common in southern Michigan! We put on about 3500 acres of rye, via terragator and a Pro Till! Works great to keep nutrients high in the soil.
Montana ,Saskatchewan, Alberta can seed winter wheat in the fall.
That tillage set up was flying over the field!
Looks like that machine does a great job
Thanks for the video watching from Reno NV
Hey Chet could you maybe go over the advantages and differences of no-till, strip-tilling, tilling, and discing and the purposes and benefits or hazards of exposing different layers of earth?
Yep. Sowing wheat after corn in SE KS. No rest for the weary.
Didn't feel like
a commercial at all. 🤗
#simplisafe
A hill in West Virginia we call that a hump. Lol Love the videos.
You boys run some beautiful equipment👍
@LarsonFarm. hi what is the price? What do I have to do?
The prize thing is a scam.
Love the videos, but man do I miss the old opening guitar sound. I’ll admit sometimes I’ll play a old video on my phone and mute the tv till it comes on lol
We plant winter wheat as a cover crop.
We plant winter wheat right after soybeans here in Ontario
great video Chet and Brody
Enjoyed watching the video Laura and Grant 😊
Wrong channel
Awesome video of the new tillage equipment and the drone footage.
this is farming what a machine thanks for the video
Great job very Awesome video you guy's Rock !!!!! Good luck at corn harvest !!!!😊
love the drone great video as always thanks for taking us along
Tell the company to add a controller, run the tillage over an yield map and set a function for the gang angle and it could do it automatically and time it a little in advance according to speed and direction of travel
Starting at 12:20 awesome!
Salford...high speed land prep👀✅️💯💪👍🔮🪄
Be nice to see the new guys
Great video Chet I got my Toby t-shirt last week I love it
@LarsonFarm. why is it saying claim prize
Magnifique dechomer semiporte est bien intéressante et le tracteur à chenille et bien équipés 😊😮😅😂
new toys for the farm boys be safe god bless
I demo'd 1 of these Halo's. man they are nice and expensive!!!!!
Beautiful video ,get some Fendt on the farm we all wanna know what you think of them
Yesssss
No, there is too much foreign iron on our land and it negatively impacts our employment numbers.
@@John-nc4bl ok true maybe to some extent but if the home brands are just getting so crazy expensive and unreliable we got to ,rather hate on all the guys that drive Nissan
In sa we have double season when corn and peanuts ends they almost already start with wheat the winters here dont get as cold as you up there -10c at most. Were, going to summer so here the dry lands waiting for fisrt rain witch is late last year we already had rain by now and so far nothing at the latest they plant end desember
I worked for salford in the 1980s
Wow looks like it is doing awesome job
Awesome video guys. 🚜🚜🚜
Great video. That’s an awesome looking tillage tool.
I'll assume you know Jason of BTP, and his friend at the western KY farm, and yes, 22k acres and they never stop it seems, corn, soybeans, wheat... it never ends... They obviously have a MASSIVE fleet of equipment and it never seems to stop running.... like they're in the goldie lock zone.... and those Wishek dicks are moldboard plows... good luck this season, stay safe brother!!!!
Can we all take a bet that this may be the next piece of equipment at the farm after the demo is over?
Why buy when you can get a new demo yearly?
The 600 acted like there was nothing back there!
Excellent drone work Chet.
Here in NC we do winter wheat after soybeans and it gets busy 🤣
Premium Boy. Money for downed beans!
will tillage prescriptions be in the future?
Great video, you probably sold a dozen Halo VRT's..
You could do winter wheat
Someone should write a VR prescription for the tillage based on the yield map to control the blade angle
With prescription tillage so readily available through Deeres TruSet, it probably won’t be long.
Hi guys
How do you guys like that millwaukee inflator that you once bought..
Thanks for another great video Chet. It was interesting.
Thanks for telling us about the Halo VRT tillage machine. From what I saw it is a really good tillage unit. Like the fact you can change the tillage settings with that joy stick on the go. Thanks really adds to the units capabilities. Seems to be a super addition to the tillage machines. I like the way it is set up and tracks through the field.
Thanks for the drone footage of the Halo unit. Really gives you a good idea how it works in the field. Thanks.
I know you have a new man from Iowa to help. Give us a little background on him. From the farm or what his background is. Seems to be very nice gentleman.
Thanks.
About it I guess. Take care and be safe. Thanks for everything Chet. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
We need to hit 400,000 subscribers this Christmas!
Was wondering why that sideboard deflector device at 7:00ish is just on that side. At 10:13 the left side doesn't have one. Must be something about the way the discs angle that only the one side needs it. EDIT: aha, in the downward view from the drone at 13:25 I see exactly what's going on. The disc gangs all angle the same way across the machine, so if any soil-flinging outside the machine's width is going to happen somewhere, it's going to happen where the deflector is. Clever.
Brian Brown of Brian's Farming videos does double cropping in Ohio Chet.
Thank you for this video.
adjustable angle = nice adjustable angle = adjustable fuel burn
Looked nice field - not much cruft on the surface left. How important is it to get all that back into the soil ? Will this HALO VRT be able to do as thorough a job incorporating the stalks and combine waste from corn ? How will that affect spring planting / wet field situation - same time to get into fields, more, less ? Nice production on the drone work btw - they're lucky to have you guys making such nice footage to show off their product while getting to use it yourselves - seems a good win-win.
Wow that was cool
