Yeah polyester does not get moldy (does not mean you should not dry it though!) as it is not organic like cotton. Over all I would say that use their for their respective usecase. -Cotton at home with a heated hanger, feels good and dries the hair in a superior matter. Even if absorbancy (?) is very similar between cotton and Sea to summit towel, a dry cotton towel will always do better on denser hair. -Sea to summit pocket towel when it is the most convenient, when traveling/camping and a cotton towel will not be avaliable or you have no good means or time to dry a cotton towel. Never dry the polyester towel on a heated hanger!!! I would recommend the XL sea to summit pocket towel, as I can easily change into swimming pants at the beach without the risk of showing your equipment.
Hey @Bobolgob Olle K, thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a helpful comment! I agree that cotton dries my hair better than most of my camp towels too, and it's definitely comfortable to use cotton towels at home (although I have made an except to use my PackTowl Luxe at home cos it's awesome hahaha). And got it! Won't dry any polyester towel on a heated hanger. I never knew that because I've never had a heated hanger, but good to know :) Thanks so much for sharing your experience and your awesome tips!
@@CampingGuidance Thank you for making so entertaining and informative videos that help me and others to know what to get and how to prepare for basically any type of traveling! The towel heater warning basically goes for any kind of towel made out of more than 50% of any type of polymer material. There is a risk of the material loosing its original properties, and in worst case melting or burning.
@Bobolgob Olle K Thank you so much! It's so kind of you to say that, and I'll try to live up to that! hahaha. Glad that you're enjoying my content, it really means so much :) Towel heater warning - Oh okay! That's why some people were having issues with their towels melting while in the dryer. This makes so much sense now, really appreciate the explanation! :)
@Greek Veteran Hi there! Thanks for the question 😊 There's actually quite a long response to this question, I have a pretty comprehensive video covering this entire topic! It's called the 5 Best Backpacking Towels, right here: ua-cam.com/video/IHbJeJcYctk/v-deo.html Let me know if you have any further questions after the video, I'll be happy to help you 😊
@@CampingGuidance Thank you very much! I watched your video and I found a Packtowl Ultralight on a local shop!! I didn't those exist, so thanks a LOT girl!!! Glad I found you channel!!!
@@greekveteran2715 You're most welcome my friend! 😊 Oooh and I'm glad you managed to find it in a local shop! It's always good to get it right away hehe. Thank you so much for your comments and for supporting my channel, really appreciate it! 😊 Let me know how you like the PackTowl UltraLite if you have the time 😊
I am looking for a towel to bring with me to the beach, pool etc. Who doesn't get heavy and dries fast. What do you recommend the most? I am plus sized, so I may need a larger one to cover me, but not nessecary. Thank you so much in advance
Hi there Satina! Thanks for your question. For beach and pool use, my favorite towel is actually the Nomadix Towel :) It comes in quite a big size, and dries quite quickly! A little slower than my Matador NanoDry (which I do not recommend for beach use, as it's so light that it'll just fly away), and my PackTowl Personal, but still faster than the rest of my camping towels. I actually featured it in my 10 Best Camping Towels video if you're interested in checking that out :) But my Nomadix is not light, and weighs about 17.2 ounces if that's okay with you.
Damn I‘m only half way in. I don‘t even care about that damn towel I just enjoy the thorough review of a product like that. You just gained a subscriber 😂

Please which is the best microfiber towel in this category? (or one of the best and maybe better than this model of Sea to Summit)?
