Avoid This Common Error When Climbing The Buachaille

  • Buachaille Etive Mor has to be one of Scotland's finest Mountains and my favourite way up to the summit is via Curved Ridge. However a common mistake can be to go off route and do a completely different (and harder route - call D Gully Buttress). This is what happened to me the first time I did this in a sunny February day many moons ago. Not something to do as D Gully Buttress is a fair bit tougher than Curved Ridge!. However today we head for the Buttress and eventually end up back on Curved Ridge. A fine day on the Mountain....
