- In this video we're taking a first look at the @Neutrik NA2-IO-DPRO & NA2-IO-DLINE interfaces, along with the NPS-30w PoE power supply. Neutrik was nice enough to send these units over for us to have a look at, along with a number of their rigging and mounting options. The DPRO is the flagship model in their Dante Interface lineup. It features primary and secondary Dante ports, two high-quality microphone pre-amps, the ability to do AES as well as analog, along with some nifty control software and intelligent input configurations.
More on this one in an upcoming review after I've had a chance to use them more, leave any questions or comments down below if you've got them! More info at www.dcsoundop.com/neutrikna2

It was just brought to my attention that around the 5:45 mark, while I talk about patching inputs to outputs & show a screen shot of the DPRO unit patched as such, I’m holding the DLINE unit in the shot - which does not have this ability.
The Audinate Ultimo chip used in the DLINE is the reason for this & stepping up to the Broadway chip used in the DPRO would raise the cost considerably.
Apologies for the mistake & thanks to the Neutrik crew for pointing this out.
Love the dante content!
Thanks for the message!
New Update - November 2020 - You can now patch control the DPRO from INSIDE Yamaha QL/CL consoles, including Gain/Phantom control. No computer needed!

PoE all the things!
I am looking forward to that someday!
These are exciting products but still quite expensive. 2x2 ins and outs but you need a unit on each end so it's $900 for a 2x2 digital snake that speaks Dante. Give me 8x2, 8x4, 8x8 at the same price and I am all over that. A unit like I just described could breathe extra life into that favorite analog mixer that lacks digital audio routing. I think we are on the right track and love where we will be in the next year or so. Great content!
Thanks for the message Rob. I think as we see more of these products move beyond their first iteration, the prices will likely come down a bit. They are exciting though & the variety is pretty cool to see.
@@DcSoundOp The reality is that until Audinate decides they want to allow that price point it just won't happen.
I agree Rob. While I might just get one of these Neutrik branded Dante I/O box because it would make a great piece of gear in the tool box. I like it the most compared to any other Dante 2x2 I/O box that I've seen on the market right now. Currently the best bang for your buck is the Yamaha Tio1608 stage box. It can be used on it's own as a Dante I/O device without a Yamaha console. You get 16 inputs and 8 outputs all for $1,100.00 bucks.
@@josephw5175 I dig the Tio as much as the next person for the cost, but if you need to fly a Dante box with an array & pick up a pair of audience mics from the grid as well, and have it powered remotely via PoE, that's a pretty different set of needs than just looking at raw cost per Dante channel.
Why would you use a Dante transmitter/receiver as a snake. Thats Source>Analog>Digital>TX>RX>Digital>Analog>Console. Might as well use an analog snake at that point.
You'd use a console with a Dante interface and bring these directly in.
