    I can confirm that my Big Rock is having the same issue. Sometimes, it is bad enough to cause the back tires to lift off the ground slightly from how hard it brakes after letting off the throttle. I was told by Horizon that they are currently working on a solution.

      @@nahi6690 I'm not sure the two problems are going to be related. The ESC you're using is one that a lot of people have used for a long time and that's not unknown issue. It's probably either a calibration problem or a specifically defective ESC or receiver on your vehicle.

    This is exactly what I have experienced in my first run of the truck. I turned the punch up to 7 and the truck wheelies and the takes off and flips over. Did it to me several times. Then off the ramp it would brake and go nose down. Makes sense that it would be in that 3/4 range since that is about how I hit my ramps some of the time. I have been holding off on making more videos until this issue gets sorted out. Lots of comments just about the ESC and not about the truck. Pretty unfortunate for Arrma to have another issue like this. I know it will get sorted out though 👍

    Explains a lot actually as the videos I've watched show a tendency for the truck to nose dive. I figured it was a matter of suspension tuning but this makes sense. Like you said though, should be an easy fix.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  8 місяців тому +2

      I think it's a combination of things. It's suspension tuning, the trucks lack of air control out of the box and this issue.
      I don't think that many people really come off of ramps while also coming off the throttle as that would naturally cause the nose to dive anyway but it definitely doesn't help with control when the car is doing something you're not asking it to do.

Because of the upgrades I had done my truck only still had the stock ESC in it. Every other electronic part had been replaced so If the problem existed on my truck it had to be the ESC's fault.
      That being said my video isn't really designed to replace his work I just wanted to verify whether or not my ESC also had the problem and then add on the bare motor tests. • @DoRC
      @DoRC  8 місяців тому +3

      @@jerryvolpini7987 Well hobbywing is the company actually making these ESC so if there's a problem with it it's their problem. I seriously doubt there's anybody at Horizon coding firmware for these products.

      To add a bit more clarification normally when you let off the throttle the ESC should completely remove power to the motor which allows the vehicle to just coast on its own to a stop. What's happening here is that the ESC appears to be momentarily applying reverse power to the motor which is essentially hitting the brakes.

But that would require the customer to buy the Bluetooth stuff for the Firma ESCS in order to do that. And I personally wouldn't do it since those ESCS are kind of weak. Might as well get Castle or Hobbywing ESCS for that trouble. And yes, I have the BT module for my Castle ESCS, which is worth it to me. Hopefully it's not a hardware issue.
